What type of conditioning excercises do you guys do to cut weight or prepare for a fight. As of late I have been running 4 miles a day with a run break on sunday, been doing crossfit excercises, and have been doing my boxing workout, which consists of 2 rounds jumprope, 3 rounds shadow boxing, 5 rounds bag work, 3 rounds double end bag work, 2 rounds jumprope. Currently I am in the Middle East, so I don't have any sparring partners, I had two guys but their rotation time ended. Right now Im walking around at 5'11 195, I would like to walk around at around 183 and fight at 178.

Losing weight is about diet not conditioning.

include sprinting days 1-2 times a week and you can cut out some of the running and eat right changing your workout a bit helps to gives your body something new to adapt too

exp. sprint on mondays or saturdays so legs have decent time to rest
if you run one day next day do jumprope for steady pace in place for running the 4 miles 10-30 mins depending where you at. Next time do 3-6 rounds of intense skipping instead of pace skipping stuff like that and incorporate pushup, dips, pullups, and abs in routine weekly

Don't need tips for losing weight, just wondering about exercises like my thread title says thanks.

P.S. during the conditioning face it is very common for fighters to begin losing weight as they become healthier and more fit to box longer.

You're going to have a rough time conditioning for boxing and losing weight at the same time. I always tend to gain weight when I'm training if I'm not absolutely meticulous about my calorie count.

Conditioning is about hard training (not 4 mile runs, more like a boxing match: stuff that makes you feel like you're going to die). Hard training makes a man hungry. Being hungry makes a man eat so he can do some more hard training.

I'd stick to the weight loss for a while, get down to your target weight by doing the long runs and workouts you're already doing (minus crossfit..ugh).

Once you're there, kick it into high gear with sprints, hills (if you have any), burpees, conditioning drills on the bag, sledgehammer training, etc. Just make sure you monitor your intake because you'll be starving all the time.

Are you amature or pro? How many rounds do you box, in what class and when is your next contest? Your schedule is too vague to draw any conclusions other then you run too far, too often.

Additionally cutting weight and conditioning for a contest a the same time is stupid.

What do you do to cut weight brown bomber? Since the gym is closed during xmas break I might as well do something to get down to 140lbs (currently 154 i think)
