Awful fight,i watched it with a mate of mine who has only just started to get into boxing, first live fight he watched was pacman and Mosley, not a good start, then he watched Bellew's fight and i was thinking that after this he has surely been turned off, such a dull fight, thank god for Mitchell and Murray..

There was one moment when McKenzies cornerman told Ovil, "You are boring me now!"

Imagine watching it having not slept since 12 Friday, after a 9 hour flight with jet lag!

I think Rupert Murdoch's wife put more effort into that slap then either McKenzie or Bellew did with any of their punches

bellew cant generate power going backwards.. he has to plant his feet. his footwork isn't great. thats his big weakness imo. fortunately cleverly will have no problems going toe to toe with bellew.. a decision that will see him in a horizontal position quite quickly. however, if bellew is fighting a fighter that will move and make it hard for him to land, he will look very poor indeed a la ajisafe. i think his footwork needs work.

nevertheless it was a decent improved display of boxing and he needs that element to his game as it cant be world war 3 every time he steps into the ring. he needs more work, but i think he is learning. he said he never loaded up once vs mckenzie. that is because he hasn't learned how to throw power punches when he is on the move. he is a natural puncher though so there is something to work with.

Ha ha, it wasn't just me then.

I fell asleep around the 8th round until the end, surprised I made it that far and fair play to the others who lasted the 12 rounds

also youd think that mckenzie would go for it a bit more as the commentator was saying. An exciting loss is gonna get you more of a chance of being on another sky card. Especially if bellew goes on to make something of himself and he at least makes the rematch interesting. Maybe credit should go to bellew to stopping him making it interesting.

U really have no clue about boxing do u lirva, Bellew has good footwork which he showed there also while ur moving nobody will generate great power, to maximise real power everybody has to plant there feet

Arnie, what do you think of Bellew's hand speed?

    Looks slow to me.

He has good speed m8 when his shoulders are relaxed he just stiffs up a bit to much looking for his big uns, saying that he was trying a new style with hands high which will make u slightly slower. IMO that is not him but he got the win.;-)

Agree with what your saying, only a handfull of fighters of the years have been able to generate brutal power whilst moving backwards, Sugar Ray could do it with ease, well he was special.
