There are legitimate cases for Marquez winning both bouts, the same cannot be said regarding the Castillo vs Floyd fights. It isn't the same thing. Marquez is to Pacquiao what Norton was to Ali.
Yeah but even though erik lost (and btw, el terrible is my favorite fighter of all time), he still had the win in their first match. It didnt matter what happened to erik's career after that. He beat the man and their was no one else left to fight. He would have beat marquez too btw if they fought prime vs prime.
its the same thing in the sense that its a great fighter having trouble against a good fighter who is a bad style matchup. Thats what i meant. and there is a very legitimate case for Castillo winning the first fight against Floyd, moreso than for Marquez winning either
B-Hop is not a racist. Making one somewhat racist comment does not make you a racist. This is complete bull****. You claim Oscar scored a draw against Mayweather and you said Winky was going to stop Nard. I'm not even going to go into Wlad.
I actually like Hopkins. People are making too much of the comments he made. It's just ironic that two guys are about to beat the living **** into one another, and there's an issue made about the war of words leading up to the fight. That's the world we live in.
I'm not denying it. I cannot stand Pacman, but I'm also british and dislike Mayweather. Doesn't mean I didn't have him winning his fight with Hatton handily until the stoppage came. Likewise, I didn't want Cotto to win his fight with Mosley, but I was one of the few who had Cotto winning the fight fairly comfortably. When all is said and done, I'm a fan of the sport, not just one fighter. I saw Marquez winning 10 rounds in the first fight, and I saw him counter Pacman all night long in the second fight. I felt he won the fights, and that has nothing to do with who he was fighting.
How about some level ground? Are you denying outright that both fights were close and could have gone either way?
I hate Wlad, he's weak mentally, fights scared, and has one of the weakest chins I ever seen for a Heavyweight champion. I have been watching him fight since the early 2000's, and never miss a fight of his, because I know he's always one punch away from imploding and getting knocked out, and I love nothing more than having a front row seat watching it happen. The first Brewster fight gave me chills, and I would probably pay a large amount of money to see it again, sadly enough, I live to see Wlad not only lose, but to get knocked out again in brutal fashion.
Everything you said is correct and has been proven to be the case but people insist on calling him an all time great. atsch
