I'm going to say Confirm. Phillips from the Tszyu fight was a machine. He just took everything that Kostya threw at him, and came right back. I also consider the Tszyu that Phillips fought better than the one that Hatton fought.

Hatton's rushes would put him on the canvas from a right hand for sure. Vince had serious power, and Hatton, IMO, doesn't have anything to make Phillips respect him.

Basically, I'd take the version of Phillips that beat Tszyu over the version of Hatton that beat Kostya, by knockout nonetheless.

Honestly this board never ceases to amaze me. The belief in a supremely floored brawler like Hatton is dumbfounding. A prime Vince Phillips would have had Ricky out of their in less than 5. Even a crack riddled geriatric version rocked Hatton to the soles of his boots.

No, you just love him so much that anything said against him by someone is automatically a hater. Can't we just discuss boxing?

Hatton still beats him, it's all based on styles and Hatton's aggressive style is more affective. Now that Hatton lost to Pacquiao everyone KOs him?, don't think so.

The Pacquiao fight doesn't make my decision. I just feel like Phillips would be a good fit to counter Ricky's style. Maybe knockout is a little extreme, but I don't see how Hatton's style would hold up against a guy who also liked to pressure, had a very high workrate, and had more than decent pop in his punches.

Hatton says in his book that nobody hit him as hard as Phillips.
