    Will be provided this saturday....

I have had many arguments with our european cousins whilst using the information super highway regarding the capabilities of Kessler and having watched the guy several times I can honestly say I don't know what all the fuss is about.

He is ok- but in terms of P4P claims he is one of the top fighters in the game he holds no sway with me whatsoever. He puts his punches together nicely, has good movement and controls his fights well showing good discipline with his movement and a good punch out put- and so far there have been no issues regarding his chin but I just don't see this super impressive warrior everyone keeps going on about.

I am massively confident that Calzaghe will virtually embarass Kessler come saturday if he can produce anywhere near his best form. My basis for this statement are simple.

Kessler for the first time is going to be forced onto the back foot by someone who can hit and is quicker than he is. Kessler looked like a fish out of water against Andrade when the guy started firing back against him and I pick Calzaghe to dominate and expose Kessler.

    Avatar bets anybody.....

Come on Dumdane I know your reading this. :good

I want an avatar bet with the Kessler fans as long as they make an avatar to do with Danish bacon.

That is just about the least likely punch he'll do it with.

and he'd be right......it's very possible Kessler will throw less than 20 left hooks in the fight .

kessler does have a nice left hook though and used it well against mundine, although mundine was never troubled by it.

Joe also doesn't think Kessler will punch himself in the head. Perhaps that would be a sucessful strategy too.

Joe is a southpaw though mate, one with a high right hand. Kessler will not be leading with left hooks and he will not be opening Calzaghe up to them either. He hasn't got the speed of foot or hand to track Calzaghe for a 1,2, hook.

Kessler could use a left, if Joe had been put out on his feet by a right.

I predict that Calzaghe will win by UD. However in betting terms this bet is irrelevant.

Does anybody think Calzaghe will stop Kessler late on?

i think the question here is how will kessler react if is put under severe pressure,or hurt.he seems to have been that dominant in his fights that the question has never been asked, well i suspect it will be asked come saturday night.we know joe can go in the trenches but can kessler?

Who says he won't be dominant saturday? I think you are in for a big surprise, Kessler is so cool and I don't think he will crack, he knows what to expect. Look how calm he is up to this, his biggest fight.
I think Calzaghe is frustrated allredy, he can't figure him out, he's smiling, relaxed and friendly. I'm not saying Kessler will destroy Calzaghe, but I think a lot of you guys underrate him.
Come sunday you will realize Kessler is the real deal, win or loose!

you could be right, and it's a compliment to him that nobody so far has been good enough to really test him.i've no reason really to doubt his heart, but i suppose there's just a slight doubt as to what he'll be like under real fire....indeed if it happens.

I sincerely hope so - he seems a nice guy and i'm probably his biggest critic on here but should he perform well and make it close or tough for Calzaghe I will definately be the first to put my hand up and say I had him wrong. Until then my opinion on Kessler is he is capable but belongs about as high on the P4P list as Sven Ottke a few years back.
