Is the reason for it being pushed from november 4th to november 11th, due to UFC 217?

I just don't see Wilder wanting to fight Ortiz before AJ.

I probably won't actually watch it tbh; what I'm "crying" about is these 4 slobs being in the world title picture and on American TV when none of them belong in either.

I just find it really hard to believe that Wilder wants to face Ortiz.

Well I think this is a very good double header.

I doubt very much it will happen, but I am very happy with these fights if they come off.

Imo this card should be in the Barclays.
This would be my fantasy card.
    Wilder/Ortiz
    Whyte/Miller.
    Jacobs/Lee
    Brazeale/Stiverne
    Smith/Monahan

if you can get NYC based fighters like Jacobs, Miller, Smith & Monahan on the card, the Barclays will fill up easily.

Jacobs vs Lee wouls be a good fun fight.
Big Baby Miller vs Whyte would be a good scrap, winner faces Wilder next imo.
Smith vs Monahan, the battle of NYC. 2 NYC based fighters go at it. winner should get a belt for this. like the Brooklyn Belt or something.

Stiverne is over the hill, but he will beat Breazeale who can't fight at all........................so the wino wins this time.

Ortiz looked terrible in his last fight, so perhaps Wilder might have gotten enough nerve to come near him, Ortiz is old not in his prime, but Wilder is a fraud, still, I will have to see Wilder in the ring with Ortiz before I believe it. Also, Ortiz has been very inactive as well, perhaps Ortiz will agree to drink several bottles of wine and live in the alley to get this fight, how much money will Haymon pay Ortiz? Can they get Ortiz to take a dive?

I've read that Wilder vs Ortiz and Breazeale vs Stiverne will be on different cards.

Wilder using Ortiz's name to set up a cab driver or commis chef fight.

Makes sense. UFC 217 will be a mega event.

At least it's the right combination. titlist vs titlist and
"contender vs contender" although I use the word
contender very loosely. It could be worse, far worse.

Following the decision by Bermane Stiverne to take step aside money it became obvious to me that the WBC has realized that there isn't the fan and television demand for the match and therefore essentially ordered him behind closed doors to face Breazeale. That doesn't seem to be a fight that he would voluntarily choose as a stay busy match. If that were to be the case, he'd be fighting another Rossy level opponent.

Also though, the Pulev match is still set for Joshua, but if it isn't, I could see Ortiz as taking that match far before the Wilder fight, just for the possibility of making exceptional money in the process. The publicly released plan is that Joshua is set to face mandatory IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev later this year and mandatory WBA challenger Luis Ortiz next year, otherwise he will have to vacate those belts. I'm not even certain of what Ortiz has left as he is closing in on 40 and spent 2016 destroying low-to-mid-level competition, while not looking entirely impressive in the process. Maybe it was a stylistic nightmare against Scott, who knows?

So they have Joshua set up to fight Pulev, in which he's the heavy favorite, then ortiz, and finally embark on a quest to unify against Wilder. Where does that leave Wilder, and will/should he sacrifice the possbility of a gargantuan payday/match-up against Joshua in the coming year? I can't see him doing so. I can however see him taking a relatively easy match-up in the present, then following it up with Whyte to set up the Joshua match.

"We're trying to get the Deontay Wilder fight, so it'll be good for me to get some exposure in the USA and get some experience abroad as well." It seems to me that the Whyte fight could be a big money fight for Wilder while also exposing him and increasing his profile a great deal to the English public which establishes an even greater payday and recognition. We all know that Wilder wants $7 million for the fight with Whyte. The fight that Deontay Wilder really wants is a unification match against Hearn’s fighter Anthony Joshua for the big $$$.

Wilder's people should speak with him about the idea of it being in his best interest to fight for a smaller amount of money against Whyte, whom I think he'd be a favorite, before setting up the big money fight and possible cash out.

True but even in the event of any round-robin configuration where any of these four picked up wins over the other 3, even though on paper that person would have a "good" resume by today's HW standards they would still be a pretender IMO and clearly a h2h lamb to slaughter if they ever stepped into a unification with Joshua (or even Parker)
