Looking back, Broners chin isnt that weak, he stood up to huge punishment against a hard hitter. This glass jaw **** is getting ridiculous now.. anyone who goes down is considered glass... silly
How do the chin checkers rate his chin? What are the test results after Dr. Maidana's biopsy? Did he get a big enough piece of it to run some tests back at the lab? Did they come back positive with traces of glass? Iron? Egg shells? Granite? The world must know...
His chin is fine, his defense is poor, he aint fighting smaller guys than him anymore, at 147 when he gets hit by huge wide shots he will go down, not iron chin but fine not glass that much is sure.
I honestly think after watching Maidana vs Khan that khan took harder shots from Maidana. I think Broner's chin could be a liability. He also seems to try to hide it a lot when he is hurt.
The fact maidana hurt broner at least as badly as he hurt khan + decked him twice is worrying. His defence being terrible is the main problem though.
I agree his defense is bad, but looking at Khan vs Maidana, khan seems to eat a much harder right hand at one point and while somewhat shaken weathers it. Much more powerful than the punch that put Broner down in rd 2... I think he's glass. He makes such a conscious effort of not appearing hurt that he must know he's glass and if fighters find out they will keep going hard all night knowing they can end the fight with a big punch... I think with this blueprint and knowing Broner's packing glass will get future fighter's wins against him. Assuming he fights quality opponents...
Give it up fanboy, glass jaws exist in boxing and, yes, Broner has one. :nod It figures somebody with the initials "rjj" in his username would be quick to deny the existence of glass jaws. Sorry, but they do exist, and lots of fighters have them, including your hero Roy Jones!!:yep
Spot on. Broner has a Glass Jaw. That chicken dance he did was hilarious :rofl Amazing people still ignore how important Punch Resistance is in Boxing. Having a Chin is the most important attribute and indicator of how far a fighter can go in the sport. It isn't up for debate at this point. :good
So funny, not saying that you were one if them, but before the fight not one single person was saying that Maidana was a beast. In fact, I recall most Broner fans saying he wasn't at all, that he was "EZ MONEY"
To those of you claiming that Broner does not have a glass chin. Refute this evidence: http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=495825
Yeah, without a doubt. If you don't have a chin in boxing, unless you are somehow super-gifted in some other area, you aren't going far. And even then, eventually poor punch resistance will catch up with you, as was the case with Roy Jones and Lennox Lewis.:yep As far as Broner is concerned, I don't know how ANYBODY other than a blind denier or fanboy could dispute he has a glass jaw. ****, this guy was put on the canvas twice by a guy who couldn't KO Amir Khan, for crissakes!!!
