Delighted this has been made, even more so that it's in England. Credit to Bute for agreeing to take it over here. He takes a lot of stick for being a hometown boy but this is a great way to dispel that theory once and for all.

Bute, with his sneaky counters, especially the uppercut, is going to cause Froch a lot of problems. I hope Carl can pull this off but I lean towards Bute being too good sadly.

Froch has never really looked in danger of stopping any of his opponents at the highest level other than Jermain Taylor. I like Froch and think he can beat Bute, but don't think he's going to stop him unless he lands one helluva punch.

 

What are the chances of this being a 3am start like Dirrell?

 

Hearn has said it'll start no later than midnight, and they're not accommodating US TV in that respect. Dunno if his stance would be any different if Showtime had been keen on this fight. It's weird though. This fight apparently won't be part of Bute's deal with Showtime, which was negotiated by Ken Hershman's regime. Hershman is now with HBO, but they apparently have no interest in this fight purely because Bute has an obligation with Showtime and should he win this fight then it's more exposure for them.

Might get picked up by EPIX, I guess.
