Another great American hype, built up to be the next star of boxing, and he got found out.

No-one's ever built up the likes of Barker, Macklin or Andy Lee to be anything special  Nothing like the way Americans hyped up the likes of Pavlik and Sad Glass Jawson, or Andre 'Dr Shaw hi' Dirrell :patsch

Brook was schooling Carson until he gassed, i thought he did enough to win the 12th and win 7-5 but if he cant fix these stamina issues he's gonna struggle against any good pressure fighter with a high workrate.

Maidana looked a lot better against Soto-Karass once he'd spent a bit of time on his conditioning in Oxnard, he looked uncomfortable at the weight against Alexander. I reckon Jones would have given Devon a harder time that night

    I agree, Khan beats Brook

Matthysse clearly beat him. You must have missed the Kotelnyk fight

In the post fight ringside interview with Eddie Hearn (Brooks promoter), following the Carson Jones fight after Brook gassed half way through, he stated that Brook needed to change his attitude towards his training before he would sort out a world title shot and as a result, Brook rectified all these issues and trained harder than he ever had before for the Saldivia fight and he looked physically superb.

Alexander will connect here and there but Brook will be far too accurate, too often, and will win a wide UD.

I kinda want Brook to win though, Alexander is annoying and boring. At least Kell has a pretty nice style.

Stamina wasnt the issue. Brook can't fight on the inside. Carson was walking him down behind the high guard and he had no answer because hes fought a weak competition level his entire career.

If Brook struggled with the activity of Carson Jones. Alexander is constantly moving and constantly throwing punches. Better hope he can get Alexander's respect. Because if he doesn't he's gonna have a tough time if A club fighter can gas his tank

This fight will be a complete shutout in favour of brook, either a 120-108 type of scorecard or alexander will cowardly look for a way out around the 8 or 9 round mark.

Brook is simply too slick for devon and will potshot him all night long, peppering his gormless chops with crisp lightning combinations. Kotelnik already proved that Devon can't compete at euro level and Brook will futher expose what a hype job Devon Alexander has always been.

    Good post.
Alexander was completely exposed when thought of as a top undefeated fighter by Kotelnik who wasnt even top man in Europe.
It was a real showing of man against boy when they fought.
Im no big fan of Brook, but I expect as you say, he will make Alexander want to find a way out.

Great work by Brook in this one. Strange though, when I watch him now, he doesn't seem as quick to me.

:rofl what a berk you are. Devon got shown up by Kotelnik end of story. He pulled a disgraceful quit job against Bradley. Brook absolutly whoops this frauds ass inside 10 rounds. You can take that to the ****ing bank.

The way Kell has handled southpaws (at a lower level) is impressive, he can hook over the southpaw jab & has an educated right hand. If he can adjust to Devon's speed & start timing him then he has all he technical tools to win.

I'm not sure if he was any quicker then but he was certainly more energetic & sometimes over-eager. Since the N'Dou fight he has become more composed & controlled.

As opposed to Froch, who has one or two truly notable wins on his resume and lost decisvely both times he faced the top brass in his weight class??
