I wish to congratulate my good friend, heavyweight contender Chauncy "The Hillyard Hammer" Welliver on his recent world ranking. He is now ranked WBO #14.

Good for him. That crap stoppage against Solis (he should've been allowed to ride out the round if not the fight...he was in no clear and present danger) seems to have been a wake-up call, he's averaging twenty pounds less now, and active as a heavy gets.

How many of those names in the top 15 do you fancy him against, Chuck?

Indeed mate. Chauncy is so much better than he is given credit for. He has skills no doubt. There are a bunch of pretenders in the WBO ranks right now (Gonzalo Omor Basile? Wtf is that?) and so now is a perfect time for Chauncy to make his move for a world title shot.

Honestly the winner of Arreola-Minto (who likely emerge as a WBO top 3 contender, since they're both top ten as it is) could be a serious target for Chauncy if he keeps the pounds down. :think

Highly unlikely Chauncy gets on HBO at this stage IMO. Needs a few wins over names better then NZ´s finest, first.

Definitely, he is keeping extremely busy which is great and can only help him in the long run.
