it's more of a combination of jmm at the top of his game and casa slowing down that decided me to pick a jmm via KO. casa's fight against katsidis do not lie.

Its a pity that Guzman dropped out of his fight with Campbell......
......I'd bet there were quite a few fightfans that did'nt order the JMM fight, because a great free fight was over at Showtime.

    Great performance by JMM!

For anybody that did'nt see the fight.....JMM's gameplan was to take the fight to Casa and shoot for the KO.......
After the first round, Nacho Beristein said to JMM, dont worry to much about these first two rounds, but lets take the fight to his guy and shot shots in combination afterward.
When the 3rd round started, JMM played to Nacho's plan, he came out for the 3rd throwing shots with real intent.
He took it to another gear, and slowly but surely, the effects started to show on Casamayor.

Naturally, when a fighter throws shots with real intent to do damage, you're going to get hit in return if you're fighting a capable fighter......
.....Casamayor caught JMM with some good straight lefts.....the kind that put Katsidis on the seat of his pants.....for those that question JMM's beard, not once did JMM seemed fazed by any of Casa's shots.

Marquez took Casamayor's shots very well.

My friends, JMM is now a lightweight!:yep

F*ck yeah! Marquez-Pacquiao III on the making.

All they need to do is Pacquiao to survive Hoya and fight Hatton. While Marquez needs to win 2 more fights.

Wow I was really impressed by Juan Manuel. First couple of rounds were close but then JMM started finding his rhythm and landing his right. The fight was pretty good but Marquez was just stronger and more active.

In the end, Pacquiao stepped up and KO'd a decent title holder and Marquez did the same !

Marquez earned the number 2 spot, I can't wait for the third Pacquiao fight.

Jmm fought real well considering how well casamayor fought. Did you guys notice that starting in like the 5th jmm was trying to bait him into a big counter right?
