Congrats to Manny Pacquiao on his new Welterweight Championship.

    Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao for winning yet another wellterweight championship. Against another overrated and hand picked opponent. I understand that the fight was officially a light middleweight fight. However with a max limit of 151. (Acording to ESPN during the weigh in it was 150, but I'll give Pacquiao the benifet of the doubt.). This was a welterweight fight. I also don't want to hear "but Margarito weighed 165 on fight night." With weigh in's being a day before the fight it is not uncommon for boxers to put back on a lot of weight between the weigh in and the fight. I'm not saying this is a good thing but that these were not unusual circumstances. Pacquiao was not overcoming insurmountable odds.
    Manny Pacquiao may own the WBC Super Welterweight (154) championship belt, but he won it in a welterweight fight.

    the point is he fought a guy 17 pounds and 5 inches taller....

    nuff said whether its bantam, middleweight or whatever weight. THe title is bull**** however. He's not going to defend it. This fight should have never been for a title.

    Awesome win though and he should be commended for that without the backhanded compliment.
