IMHO, I thought Cotto had the "tools and skills" needed to beat the lil guy BUT boy was I wrong! I should had stay with my first instinct when the fight was first announced which was "my heart with Cotto because of the PR thing but my $ was with Pac". I have to eat my words and give mother****ing PROPS to Pac, the way he destroyed Cotto was unthinkable in most people's minds. The fight lived to the expectations and we will be talking about it for a while. :good On to the fight, Cotto started really good but he fell into the same trap that everyone does with Pac, which is to engage him early on the fight and because of the way Pac throws punches they all get caught early with punches that actually do real damage. After the fourth round I knew that Cotto was in for a brutal night and he would not last the entire fight. And eventhough he did make a little comeback around the six or seven round (I cant remember exactly) it was already too late for anything. Had he fought a different fight from the get go maybe it would had been a different fight but the same outcome. That Pacquiao is one special boxer and is going to be really har for anyone around those weights to beat him, including PBF (who I have a feeling was hiding under the covers last night and telling Leonard Ellerbe that if Bob Arum calls tell him PBF is on vacation :yep). I saw a couple of threads about the Ref stopping the fight in 12 which I thought was kind of ****ed up too because if it was about Cotto's health why not stop it around the 9th round because by then Cotto was already a broken man you know. IMHO, he should had let Cotto finish the fight but thats just me though. As for Pacquiao fighting PBF, if I were Pacquiao I would not fight him. And here is why, PBF can and most likely will beat him but it will be in a boring fest where PBF will win by points and basically make Pacquiao look stupid by chasing around for 12 rounds. :smoke As for Cotto, Papa PLEASE RETIRE NOW, YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING LEFT IN YOU. :good
I was surprise at how pac was able to take cotto's power. He did get caught couple of times and shook it off. I expected pac to be too fast for him so seeing pac land at will didn't really surprise me. Anyways congrats to pacman.

Hey Papo, Thanks. You know how we talked about this fight thru PMs, and I told you that Cotto intimidates me as hell, but the fact that Roach and Pac seemed so relaxed and calm coming into this fight, that made me a bit less nervous. What did I tell you? I saw some of their TV interviews/puchmitt workouts and they were preparing for 2 good punches, especially for Cotto. A longer range, cracking right (KD1) and A compact inside left hand. (KD2) Anyway, Cotto's a cool guy and I swear to you that everyone here in the Philippines who watched the fight, they respected him and thought he was a great sportsman. And btw, happy birthday, man. :cheers
