I love Mosley but let us not take the RJJ path.

I never said that and it's not what I'm eluding to or trying to take it. What I am saying thought is that people have sold Mosley short quite a bit, not recognizing some of the factors that have contributed to this "slide" he's apparently been on. I never denied that he isn't well past his prime, that he's clearly not the same fighter he once was, or anything of the sort. What I am saying though is that he isn't nearly as bad off as people try to say, nor has he been in recent years when you look at the facts surrounding the issue, that I think this win proves as much, and that I think you'll see more of that proof. I read an article on this fight and the writer made the point that while Mosley isn't "Back", he' isn't returning to the form of his youth, beating Cano proves that he's still better than competent, second-tier welterweights which there are no shortage of. So no, maybe he's not a top flight welterweight anymore but a shot Shane Mosley in comparison to his younger form is still better than a lot of fans give him credit for. I'd say the WBC title he just won proves as much too.

Oh sorry, it's called writing. The other part of it is called "effort" which one puts forth when they give a **** about their writing.

I'm not quite sure what exactly you mean by "his nerves". Do you mean like his reflexes, or do you mean his willingness to go for the kill? If you go back and read my 2 posts on the previous page, I actually address what you go on to talk about here. Sure, he can't fight the same way he used to, but that doesn't mean he can't still fight. You simply adjust your style a bit, make changes to compensate for what you've lost and help bolster your strengths.

I agree, he doesn't have anything else to prove though.

Soo he's in the mayweather sweepstakes again?

I'd like to see him fight guerreo, ortiz or berto. One more win and retire

I had it a draw. UD makes it sound clearer than it really was with only a round in it on all 3 cards

Shane did nothing for about 4 rds, then seemed to remember that he was in Mexico and slipped a gear and bossed most of the rest of the fight imo. The open scoring announcement that had him down after the 4th seemed to sting him into action. If he had fought how he did from the 5th or 6th onwards from the beginning he would probably have dominated the fight.

The suprising thing was he was actually getting out boxed by Cano on the back foot for periods, but he was landing enough big rights and body shots in between to take most of the those rounds.

Cano showed more ability that I've seen from him before now. His jab was working nicely early on and he was timing Mosley with some nice counters. He actually managed to hurt him quite badly in one of the middle rounds too. Guys very tough too, took plenty.

A strong, come forward fighter with very little defense? Reminds me of Margarito. Shane matches very well against a guy that comes right at him.

The essay gets it wrong right at the start, didn't bother reading the rest. But Mosley did NOT dominate the Mayorga fight. I had it extremely close. Mosley was getting outworked by the mid rounds. I believe some of the judges had Mayorga up by a point or even going into the 12th.. one of the best performances of a shot Mayorga.

it was a good win for him, but prove nothing as far as his career goes. Keeps his name out there.
