A lot of people might not know his story, but when he was young, he got in some trouble with drug dealing. When he had a son of his own, he decided that he needed to celan things up and turned to the church. Boxing provided him a way out.

Good man, good fighter. I know some will put him dowm because he beat a soft touch to get his title, and in reality, Fury is the real champ. But I believe in Martin in a way that I do not believe in Wilder, because he did it without hype and manipulation, and this is at very least a welcome to the big leagues.

Congrats man! I hope it is a long reign and a glorius career.

I don't know his story, and feel good stories are nice and all, but this is the heavyweight championship of the world. Can someone explain to me why the IBF sanctioned this? The Glaskov guy was also a joke.

I thought the WBO was the Mickey Mouse sanctioning body, but apparently that title now belongs to the IBF. I'm disgusted!!

Like I said, I don't really consider it the heavyweight chamionship, but it is at least a welcome to the big leagues. And he deserves to be here.

No he doesn't! How on earth does he deserve to hold a belt? The guys that paid their dues should have been given a shot for a vacant belt before him.. And believe me that does not include Glaskov either. I really hope he proves me wrong and dominates his next opponent. Despite all that who doesn't like an against all odds story:good

Jake, friend, I am going to repeat a third time:

I DO NOT CONSIDER IT TO BE THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMIONSHIP.

Turn the page on that. He beat a well ranked guy tonight. That is what this is about.

No worries catchwtboxing we r on the same page. I'll start a separate thread (or someone should, I am too lazy) about boycotting the IBF. All the best to Charles, he will have a good payday at least in the next fight. He looked good honestly before Glaskov shattered his knee.

    Hell yeah.

He was hurting Glasskee with his L and his R hook before the wrongly called KD which led to the TKO.

He was winning the fight and rightly deserves the title, though the IBF blows for stealing it from Fury since in reality, Wlad is the #1 ranked contender to ALL the ABCs. :think

He's not a real champion but he looked like he has some potential and I'd like to see him again

Dont see him holding the title for too long though.
Theres some real axe murderers coming through in the division right around now

Congrats to Prince Charles, I saw the potential in him after first seeing him, and I did my thread on him back in 2014, its a pity he had to win under those circumstances but he won nonetheless, now he'll prove he deserves it to all of you next time out hopefully.

I wouldn't mind seeing him knock Wilder out cold.

Hes a black guy who got a title shot with the IBF, and he barely did anything to get the W.
It was one of the easiest paths to a title that i have seen.

But Martin is a cool dude and i hope he gets some good fights.
