Do you apply this principle to all the positions in your personal list?

    Certainly doesn't apply to mine.

This is all hype just like when pacman destroyed morales the 3rd fight. a lot of people were saying he should be # 1 P4P but did it happen? Until pacman lose a fight he will be # 1 P4P.

    :goodexactly!

Great win, but JMM beat somebody that's slower and a weaker puncher compared to Pac. I could imagine JMM going down at least once if it was Manny that was throwing those punches. Marquez was clearly losing until Diaz got cut which terribly slowed him down, impairing his vision which allowed for the KO to happen.

This win did not do it.

Pacquiao's running from the tough fights. Davis Diaz, Old man Oscar, come on now. Be a man and fight JMM again. Pacquaio knows he cannot take out Marquex and that is why he is avoiding them. Why is that JMM is pushing for the third fight and Pac does not? Freddy Roach is sheltering his fighter. You can't be pfp #1 by ducking fighters.

why the **** would pacman ask for a 3rd fight when he won the last fight? you see mayweather asking delahoya for a rematch? :patsch

Pacman running from tough fights? :rofl let's see pacman moved up 5 lbs to fight diaz then moved up 2 weight class to fight delahoya then he is fighting hatton at 140 where hatton is undefeated. Pacman running from tough fights? :patsch:rofl

He is chasing $$$$$$$$$$ get it right :rofl:rofl:rofl

Pacman's chasing money, Marquez is chasing glory. You can see the difference in character. Marquez is a people's champion and Pacquiao is not.

For somebody that picked DLH to beat Pac, why are you saying that's now a duck by Pac? :-(

The thing is, Manny's legacy is set and he's paid his dues and it's not like he's going into fight's where he's heavily favored. On the other hand, JMM's best accomplishment to this time is the draw to Pacquiao.

In all fairness, Pac was heavily favoured against David Diaz.

And I don't think drawing with a version of Pacquiao who would then be beaten by Erik Morales is JMM's best accomplishment, I think his best accomplishment was unifying the lightweight titles last night, considering he is a former featherweight champ and for the second fight in a row knocked out a naturally bigger opponent who had never been stopped before.

    Let's be fair here.

    Absolute bull****.

A former flyweight world champion who is taking on a natural lww who has never been beaten at lww and is the undisputed number 1 lww in the world is doing anything but just chasing money. He is taking a massive risk in order to become a 6-weight world champion.

Yeah I noticed the american commentary team were creaming themselves over Diaz's work in the early rounds then when JMM was doing well they would be chatting about something completley different and not give it a mention! I had Diaz 4-2 up after 6 rounds (or possibly 4-1 and a tie) but it wasn't as one sided as they made out.

Anyways p4p is a bit subjective and it seems from this thread it depends on whether you judge it on peoples whole resume, recent resume or just who you think is better fighter regardless who they fought.

I have no problem with Pac being 1 and Jmm 2 or a tie, though I personally scored JMM Pac1 as a draw and 2nd fight to JMM so I personally have JMM is no.1 by a slight margin.

The only real important thing for me is they gotta fight again!!

I think a case can be made for Pac, JMM and B-Hop as the best fighters on the planet. Izzy, Rafa and Shane are in my next grouping.

In the end, we all get too caught up in pfp ****.
