Well Fox is really having a dig.
I don't know how the programming hiearchy operates with Fox, but I'd be pretty sure Andy Raymond would have had something to do with pushing for a permanent time slot.
He repeated their ambition to show local fights every 3rd thursday of the month.

We're lucky to have a dedicated TV personality who loves the game, is knowledgable, & is not frightened to bring in articulate ex-fighters to co-commentate.
We all know, there is serious fear by his collegues in the TV industry who have nightmares about being upstaged. Not Andy.

Promoters, Trainers & fighters need to look hard & long at this.
If you really want to get out there, you need to worry less about a loss. FOX needs competitive fights.

We see blokes scrambling for tickets to find & fund their own opponent to get on TV on a Mundine promo, which has to be the bottom of the barrel IMO, well here's a break.

Get organised. Get serious & get the game back on the rails. Let's have more 1 V 2 & less 1 V easybeats & touring imports.

    :happy:happy:happy FOX & Andy

maybe some aussie boxers aren't in the business of being involved in really tough local fights..they prefer to have an easy boxing career instead.

Geez Ranse, the recent Grange Old School Boxing card was fairly stacked with quality I thought??

It was a great night fight's with top local talent everywhere.

Pittman, Dib, Vea, McCracken, Bolling, Organov, Casserly. Granted some opponents had to be flown in also, but all the fights were well matched.

I for one will definetly be following fox sports boxing coverage each 3rd thursday.

Beats the **** out of the now absolutely rubbish footyshow. Not to mention Matty Johns show, which is rushed badly with such a small timeframe..Plus has no Reg Regan so i wont watch.

    Good on Foxsports..
