Yea fair point mate, maybe I'm getting carried away but he's 27 and he needs to be testing himself against the top boys between 140-147 now.

Is there an easy route to a World title?, at 140 Garcia hold 2 belts, Alvarado has a belt and Pederson has one. Then there's Lucas,Rios,Judah,,Allakhverdiev and Olusegun

At 147 You have Floyd, Bradley, Broner and Devon. Add to all those Marquez,Guerrero ,Pacquiao,Brook,Maidana,Khan,Thurman,Chaves,Abregu,Berto and Provodnikov

More stacked than i even first though.

Great showing from Frankie, I was unsure about him before this evening but no doubt he has world class professional potential now.

    What's next for him?

I would put him in with Leonard Bundu, European Champion.

147 is stacked though as all the good 140 fighters keep moving up as well. too many good fighters at 147 to list again but i listed them on another thread. Its madness. Khan, Lucas and Garcia will all move up soon as well.

watched his proformance decent but, got a lucky break 6-1 gavin, i have no problem him clinching because i am a massive molina fan, but i think bundu (euro champ) could school him

    Fair play for winning. But what a stinker the undercards we overmatched completely and to top it off Gavin has got the skills to make a ******* and he serves up that bore fest. Say what u like to be but boxing is about entertainment was I entertained no Frankie should of moved slipping punches not cuddling his opponent. ;

Vassell is a decent fighter of note for his 16th fight, schooled him properly aswell

Alvarado got bitchslapped by Prescott not too long ago, Khan got dropped by Diaz, Thurman has done next to nothing. Abregu? Chavez? Broner and Alexander? Sorry but those are all names there for the taking

Gavin can't make 140 he has confirmed this a few times so its not an option he will stay at welter for the foreseeable future I think.

The 140 and 147 divisions have always been stacked, haven't they? But you are correct, no matter how good Frankie looked tonight (and he looked great), just to be universally recognised as a top ten fighter in either division (particularly 147) takes some doing.

I am delighted for Frankie!! For a while his career seemed to be in neutral, but now he looks focused and about to fulfil his undoubted potential.

Barely a month ago Frankie was on here (he often pops on Eastside) and some no-mark was laughing at the possibility of a Gavin-Khan fight simply because someone asked Frankie if he would take a fight with Khan and Frankie said yes (what was he supposed to say? No?)!

I suggested that in a year or so the prospect of that fight taking place would not be considered a joke and I do believe that such a fight in a year or so will be an intriguing prospect.

Amir has tons of ability, but his obvious flaws (and his stubborn refusal to address them) do make a fight with a superb counter-puncher like Frankie one I would love to see (assuming Frankie stays focused, fights regularly and continues to improve).

And as a fan I believe their styles would make Gavin-Khan a great fight to watch!

    Go on Funtime lad!!!:bbb

Got to give Frankie props, I thought it would be a lot closer but he made easy work of Vassell.

    Lee Purdy next possible?
