I thought this would be a dull, foul-filled fight between two old farts who should be in a retirement home. I had extremely low expectations.

    ^ Like this shitfest.

Instead, we got a fight that was even worse and even more of a joke than I expected. Hopkins took the play-acting to the next level, while RJJ is so shot that he's more bullet-hole than person now.

RJJ should retire. Hopkins should just go away.

    Well said.

Though I don't think anyone really expected this to be a good fight. Considering Jones is shot as hell and Bernard is also way past it, I believe almost everyone expected an ugly, boring fight between two former greats, as it turned out to be.

Plus, this fight was absolutely meaningless. It was significant for the two participants, and the two participants alone. Hopkins wanted the "revenge" and money, Jones on the other hand knew he would lose and wanted just the money.

Roy can literally do NOTHING at this point in his career. He can't throw more than 1 punch at a time. He can't throw more than about 10 punches per round. His defense is WIDE open. His legs are GONE. He cannot move AT ALL. His chin is gone.

In a nutshell, all he can do is stand there & make faces.

Congratulations to B-Hop and RJJ for somehow convincing enough people who should know better to pay for their meaningless borefest, thus paving the way for more bull**** PPV's showcasing the old, infirm, and unmotivated.

Roy is a shell of his former self. He was on the decline in 2002-2003, and the dramatic weight loss required in between the Ruiz and the first Tarver fight really hastened the decline. Hindsight is 20/20, but RJJ should have retired after the Ruiz fight. RJJ beat Hopkins when it mattered - their first fight. Yes, RJJ and Hopkins are first ballot HOFers, but their second fight was absolute dog crap.
