Congratulations to Broner, but how the hell did Demarco become WBC champ?

He is not that good tbh. This is the first time I've seen him fight, but he just seems to be a typical Mexican fighter (apart from a very tiny handful) that just wants to have a tear up instead of using his brain.

He just didn't seem to have a clue for the majority of the fight. He didn't seem to have a plan B, it was just walk forward and try catch broner with a big shot. Then he kept eating uppercuts and leaving his right hand low when he threw the left cross.

Everyone was raving about how demarco would be a test for broner, but I just didn't see it.

what do you guys think? I'm sure I'll get corrected but this is my thoughts.

Broner is a great fighter but put him up against pressure Fighters when moving up to 140 against Rios, Matthysse or maybe a Danny Garcia.

Broner had problems with Ponce De Leon.

Demarco cannot box.Ponce De Leon can.
Broner destroyed Demarco, and lost to Ponce De Leon.
Don't expect to see Broners people putting him in against boxer/movers anytime soon.

honestly broner is not the same fighter who fought De Leon. may have been stage fright or imaturity but he has improved alot.
Demarco tried to bring pressure and everything got nullified and he got beat at his own game.

Never really saw why Demarco was rated so highly. All he did was go in the inside and eat uppercuts.

DeMarco was the best lw out there. That mantle has passed onto broner.

Here's hoping he fights abril and burns.

Broner looks very good and its hard to pick faults in his performance. DeMarco for me was disappointing, but part of that was probably down to the fact that he couldn't figure out Broner, so Broner has to take some credit for it. DeMarco isn't a special champion, 140 is a lot deeper imo so the big tests for Broner will lie there with the likes of Matthyese, Garcia, Rios. But for the 23 year old, looks like the sky is the limit. He will probably enter into the Top 10 P4P equation in the next fight or two.

broner's lighting up the l/w division no question , he was simply too big too skilled last night for de marco , and wicky burns will want none ov that anymore.

but my question is when is broner moving up ? he could fight at 140 nxt **** 147 even he looked MASSIVE last night

Hopefully Broner moves up to 140, I doubt there is anyone at 135 who will test him.

that's funny cause before the fight Demarco was really good and many peoples #1 lightweight....also the best fighter Valero had on his resume..... 2 months ago before signing to fight Broner he was the biggest puncher at LW and Broner was afraid of him and would duck him.

it's either Vazquez or Burns next and he'll ko both or it's up to 140. :deal:deal

the Broner that lost to PDL is not the same one we're watching today, the kid has improved. Eloy was a mover, granted not a top level fighter but yeah dude isn't a pressure fighter by any means and he didn't trouble Broner for any 10 seconds in that fight

De Marco wasn't number one mate, Vazquez was, but it was a tight top 3 between Vaz Burns and Demarco, so now that Tonys out of the picture, I do wish Burns would give Broner the bitchslapping hes been asking for
