Massive congratulations to Devin Haney and his father Bill Haney. They did it the old fashioned way got on the Road and is the new undefeated and undisputed Lightweight world champion. He handled George Boy or Boy George Kambosos the ferocious one with ease. Glad there was not home cooking with the judges. Not sure how long Haney can stay at lightweight but we can all agree he is for real and no longer an email world champion. Teofimo Lopez must be upset ditto Rolly Romero. The super fights of the future look like Tank, Haney and Shakur Stevenson. Skills, speed, athleticism and power.
I really appreciate that. But it should actually be normal for every nationality to fight all over the world for a worldwide sport like boxing. Hiding away in your own little corner of the world just shouldn't be possible, certainly not for so called "world champions".
Yes Well done to Haney massive occasion for such a young man, who ,imo, is mature beyond his years, just so happy his Father was able to make it , a big contribuary factor to the win. Nice to see...
Ideally yes like Ali going all over the world. At the end of day economics tends to determine where fights are held.
Only partially Everyone knows that there are quite a number of places where stay-at-home boxers could actually make as much or even significantly more money as in their backyard. They just chose not to for obvious reasons, and got away with it due to the broken system.
That shouldn't mean US boxers can hide there their entire careers to always have home advantage. A large number of them do, be it shouldn't happen. It doesn't happen in other sports either.
I'd agree with you and i probably do but i hate your agenda every time i read your disgusting comments so i just call you a racist clown - what you are. Really looking forward when Usyk destroys inscure femi once again Fat Ruiz already did it, Usyk did it and Usyk will finish the job and retire that clown in a fw months. Will be a great day.
Boxing is different. Having managed fighters myself the only thing you care about is putting your guys in the best possible position to make as much money as possible. This is not morally wrong you just get the best you can even if it means fighting at home. For others who had 90% of their fights in the opponents hometown like Azumah Nelson it was a tool of inspiration beating your opponent in his hometown.
What fighters have you managed you poser? You cant manage fighters when you spend your days on the wellfare line and btw my uncle Pernell beat the **** out of Azumah "Overrated" Nelson. He made him look like a complete bum.
Bull! Home advantage in boxing has always been among the biggest advantages in sports as a whole. It is wrong, because many boxers had their careers completely ruined by home judging. It isn't an "inspiration", you just have to be significantly better as your opponent or get lucky to get the win in their backyard. Small example: Who should have been the lineal HW champion back in '98?
Pernell was a great fighter but Azumah was not at his best especially as his then wife was dying of cancer. May not mean much to you but somethings more important than boxing.
