    As a big big fan of the “Truth” Erroll Spence Jr I refuse to be churlish and will express my public congratulations to “Bud” Terence Crawford. His performance yesterday was simply majestic. In analysis especially when you have been involved in the fight game like I have you need to consider how and if your guy could lose. Whilst I envisaged a potential Crawford win as a real possibility, the manner was shocking. I am not going to make excuses for EJ’s loss because neither he or Coach Derrick James roll like that nor do I. If I get it wrong an adult man admits it and does not ***** about it. Crawford’s offence and defence were sublime yesterday it really was. The defence was air tight reminded me at times of Marlon Starling and Mike McCallum. In fact he was doing what I expected EJ to do. His performance was as dominant as Floyd Mayweather’s victories over Diego Corrales. I know EJ is much better than he displayed last night so I am looking forward to the rematch at 154 pounds likely in December which Bud has agreed to as he to is struggling to make 147/pounds. To the Crawford fans of which incidentally I am one as well just an even bigger Spence fan Congratulations.

    :lol: Spence is a brave man. And a hard worker too.

    That's how I know, despite the physical pain he is in after that ass-kicking, he is miles into the Nevada desert today, in that very early morning breeze, sweating, wondering just how deep he has to dig the hole he is going to put that rematch contract in to be absolutely safe.

    That would be very adverse to Spence's long term health. Don't you care about Errol? The last thing he needs is another match against Bud. Spence needs to go back to the ranch and reflect on what just happened with his horses.

    Spence is done I think, but if he wants to keep fighting he needs to
    a) live the life, it's well documented that he's not as disciplined as Crawford
    b) fight a few others to build confidence and age Crawford out.

    Even so I wouldn't advise him to fight Crawford ever again. Why get beaten up again? He's had a good career.

    He has already requested it for December and both parties are open to it or do you now speak for him? If you think he should not take it that’s is fine but you cannot speak for him.. Guys have been beaten badly lost and got revenge. Check out Zale and agrarians fights.
