I did say Conlan apologised for his choice of music in New York, and a testament to this is was his choice of music last night.

 

I ain't no bigot mate. I might be a bit un-PC and what not but it's all meant in good humour. I know there are complexities of the politics in Ireland that I can't fully get because I haven't lived through them. And that's why I wouldn't and haven't ever tried to preach on them. But I'm allowed to condemn the IRA and people in the public eye that openly support them. Like one of the other irish posters here alluded to, he should try taking a leaf out of Mcguigan and Frampton's book when it comes to how to conduct himself instead of potentially stirring up trouble, intentional or not.

For the record, I'm not the one who brought up the subject about his music! My rant was about how I think he's an arrogant wee knob! I even said regardless of his support of the IRA. Then I was asked about what song I meant even though I never mentioned a word about any music at first. So read back properly @lencoreastside before you start throwing your bullshìt in my direction.

Look I may have been a bit hasty and harsh here. Marty is a good guy and I did feel smudge went waay too far. I was cross with Juergen too for his nonsense about ira music” etc but I’ve defended him too in the past. Now let’s all get back to the boxing. At least Conlan showed patience and the ability to outwit a negative opponent. But I can’t say I’m convinced about him at all, not yet anyway. He might turn out to be another Josh Warrington....looking mediocre but getting there despite appearances.
