I was just reading a bk. about Conn and in it it said while at thr IBHOF induction Moore went up to Conn & asked Conn why they never fought. At which the equally sharp Conn snapped back " Because you weren't good enough"
Who do you like in this?
Im going with Conn by UD.

It's a pick em. It would be a thing of beauty. A great match up...

I'm going to pick Conn. But anything could happen.

Conn's speed could pose big problems for Archie but I think he'd work around that blocking Conns flurries with his cross-arm defence and countering with stiff jabs and hard right hands.
Conn's very tough but featherfisted and Moore wouldn't respect his power and would willingly mix it up with Conn, getting the better of most exchanges and boxing to a unanimous decision.

Moore would struggle not least because during Conn's 39 to 42 peak he was a middleweight.

But peak against peak, I take Moore to eventually neutralize Conn's speed advantage and win the championship rounds to gain a razor thin (probably) split decision

Archie would take a majority decison over Conn, those years of experience would kick in past the middle rounds, and he would probably do a couple of things Billy wouldn't be used to.

I don't think any lhw would stop conn, he's too durable.

Conn will fight for a full 15 rounds using his hand and foot speed advantage.

Archie will struggle to win this. But he's won that many fights against that many styles it's tough to rule him out.

Is it beyond question that conn would do to moore what charles and burley did, soundly outboxing him from the outside with the off knockdown throughout.

Two of my all time favourites, but I slightly lean toward Billy, I think his ability to fight on the outside would earn him a points verdict.
