One of Benn and Hearns tactics has been to claim that because Benn passed tha ukad testing, that the vada fail was somehow none of bbboc or ujads business. Sadly some fans have bought this bs, likely because they're unaware of the ukad rules which govern all UK boxers, namely 5.2.2.2 The fans may not be aware of but Benn, Hearn and Dazn damn well are So they can do one
Weren't the BBBofC going to let the fight go ahead, despite knowing about the results, until the media got wind of it?
Can't be categorical here but the rumour is that alongside the notification of the positive test they were given a letter from benns brief informing them that the findings were confidential and none of their business, meaning any investigation carried a potential six figure liability. As chance would have it the mail discovered the positive test and at that point the board felt empowered to act.
I saw Benn has called out Spence LOL I hope it happens just to see Spence give him the beating of his life
I think he's trying to tweet himself into a big fight to recoup the legal fees. Rather than him scoring a big payday I'd sooner everyone treated him as a pariah. He's dragged the sport through the gutter, he needs to be forgotten.
juiced up overrated dickhead ... this guy is only as popular as he is because of his name & because British boxing is in the shitter right now & isn't exactly brimming with talent
Testing is pointless. If you have enough clout in the sport nothing comes from it. From unknown Herbal tea, bore meat, tainted beef, tainted food , and now eating to much eggs.
I disagree. In this case Vada have exposed the inadequacy of ukad testing procedures, the arrogance of team Benn and the current weakness of the governing bodies. Clearly the situation is sire, but better to have these things exposed.
I don't know what all the consequences will be, but I do know that not one penny of mine will be going to Benn, Matchroom or Dazn as it stands. So it's been helpful to me at least. I think others will feel similar and sponsors will also be taking decisions on whether this is a guy they want to be associated with? Besides, the question of whether we should know about something is separate to what should happen.
