If only there were some hints that Conor isn't exactly clean of character...

No wonder Hearn was rattled the other day talking about Zuffa and Dana

Soon to be knocked out when he fights anyone decent, Ben Whittaker is the face of his UK stable now with AJ having one foot out the door. I'm guessing in the next few weeks we'll be getting the obligatory "We welcome the competition" "It's good for boxing" "We wish Conor well, but don't think we can take his career any further" "we don't think he's world championship material" followed by Frank Smith telling the world a hundred ways how he hates Ben Shalom.

I wonder if Eddie's opinion of VADA testing has suddenly changed

Benn would of been the most unlikely signing I'd of thought for, for Zuffa.

Makes sense. Aside from AJ he's probably Hearns biggest asset

Shocking from Benn really. Hearn backed him 100%.

Hearn’s favourite line when losing a fighter is “we were losing money on his fights”

Benn wants absolutely no names fighting him.

So going to Zuffa means he will get a wedge to fight stiffz

All this "Zuffa shows are lame" talk coming from Matchroom recently, I thought, this is all a bit premature, I mean they've hardly even started yet, but it makes sense now. Eddie is taking a pre-emptive strike at Dana before news broke about Conor. Losing Jai and Conor this quickly is really really bad for them and there will be more departures coming soon no doubt.
I mentioned before, Hearn has the most to lose in all of this. Queensbury have been investing heavily in the domestic landscape over the past few years and are in a good position, Matchroom have been going for the big world-wide talent and that's exactly what Zuffa want and are coming to get.

I mean as hilarious as this is it just shows you what sort of bloke Benn is. We’re always getting told by various journos what a nice lad he is but he’s turned out as I suspected all along - a complete ****.

Has to sting. As others have said, Hearn went above and beyond to support Benn, to the detriment of his own reputation.

Matchroom always seem to have matching rights on expiring contracts. Dan Rafael and others have suggested Benn has been given a one-fight deal with Zuffa - and Mannix even says it's worth 8 figures.

If that's the case, Hearn can sell it easily to the lapdogs as an "unbelievable offer, good luck to Conor, he's welcome back any time" type deal. Deep down he will surely feel at least a little insecure.
