You don't reckon it will be on PPV ? If it's not PPV I would be surprised but very happy as a DAZN subscriber if I were subscribed to the channel. I wouldn't be surprised if it were on PPV unfortunately. Would also not be great since Smith Eubank II would be PPV two weeks afterwards. If Benn wins, they'll definitely make Benn Brook / Eubank next, which would definitely be PPV. I hope Pacquiao beats Benn after what has happened but I don't see it happening.
A never will be double drugs test failure v a very old man? Struggling badly to understand why this non title event would be Box Office
I think COULD and 'agreed' are doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Heard all this before from Sean Gibbons, the quotes here don't sound quite so positive .. Manny Pacquiao “Agrees” To Fight Conor Benn - Boxing News 24/7 (boxing247.com) Also, whilst lawsuits are not my forte, I wonder what happened to this https://www.*******.com/paradigm-sp...manny-pacquiao-set-march-3-trial-date--172051 Can't find any updates. PS - are there some links I'm not allowed to post ? Why does it * the site ? cos it's a competitor site ? Anyway put the words "paradigm" and "pacquiao" into google and it'll come up, along with a few other links. Here's another Paradigm Sports on Pacquiao lawsuit: ‘We will cut off 100% of Manny’s opportunities to earn money’ | Bloody Elbow
The site fee should surely take care of it. Wonder if Manny will consent to VADA for this one - he wasn't too keen on giving blood in the past, and I'm not sure Benn would mind eitherway...
You're probably right. I just made it because there was a lot of talk about when Benn's next fight would be announced and this looks more realistic now since Eubank has taken the Smith rematch. You can post links, the asterisks might be because the word was a swear word, I'm not sure. Good point. If it isn't PPV it makes up for the poor June 10 card.
I hope this isn't true, but fear it is. This is one that any true boxing fan should ignore completely - don't buy, don't discuss, don't watch even if you're not paying. Manny is a true "name". Us boxing fans know exactly what this fight is. But for casuals, Pacquiao vs Benn in a glamorous Middle Eastern location would legitimise Benn, especially if Benn does well. I actually hope it is PPV, because that will make it easier to opt out. Fingers crossed Boxxer or Queensberry "unavoidably" schedule a decent card to clash with it.
If Manny wasn't such a nice, sensible guy, this would have shades of Bugner-Bruno about it. That fight catapulted Bruno a little bit and you could see the same with Benn - "legitimise" is exactly the right word.
Connor Benn isn’t going to fight on June 3rd- unless of course he fancies getting hit with a 4 year ban by the Board. They are screwed until they decide to do what they should have 9 months ago and face upto the process
If he doesn't have a licence with them he can't be banned by the board. However his trainer/training team need to ask permission from the board to be involved and I doubt the board would grant that, legal threats aside. “If any British license holder – boxer, trainer, etc. – wants to fight in a tournament abroad with another commission, they have to apply to us for permission,” he said Source: Eubank Jr Likely To Be Denied Permission By BBBofC To Fight Benn In UAE - Boxing News 24 (https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/0...ed-permission-by-bbbofc-to-fight-benn-in-uae/) This has all kicked off cos Sean Gibbons has blurted again. I don't think it's anywhere near happening.
