They should get on Bradley Skeete next to get a name on his record.

Come on now we all know rankings by governing bodies mean nothing. What's wrong with an English title fight for him? I see it as a good test to see where he is at against domestic opposition.

This is the pro ranks and he's a prizefighter. As if he is going to take an English title shot when he is lined up for a major payday.

He has good speed and can put combinations together well. I think I have to agree with Macklin, his best form of defence is offence. There is no point of him trying to box off of the back foot, he needs to fight fire with fire and hope he can get people out of there.

Without exceptional power this will lose you fights at European and world level but is also the sort of style that could one day win you a world title against the right person. Although he will probably have more ambition than going all out and hoping for the best, but he has a lot of improving to do if he wants to mix it at world level trying to box. This said he is 23 so no rush.

Fair play to him. Based on his last fight he has obviously put in the hours in the gym and improved. His last opponent wasn't exactly a world-beater, but he wasn't a mug either and before the fight a lot of us were talking about it being a big step up. To finish him off early was a pretty impressive statement that Benn isn't a joke and that he's probably going to be a player at domestic level at least. He should make for exciting fights regardless.

I think his chances at world class are limited, as I don't think he has the raw physicality to be competitive against the best welterweights. He's not a one-punch knockout guy, is small at the weight and physically underwhelming, and looks vulnerable when hit. Generally you need at least two of those to be world-level. If he drops down to 140 his ceiling may be higher.

He's good fun to watch although comes across quite an arrogant *****. Particularly on social media.

As for the fight itself, it's his best win but this guy wasn't any good. Benn is incredibly easy to find but is very very game, which is cool. There's a reason he's being kept away from punchers of any kind though, it'll be interesting to see how it holds up to anyone with a bit of power.

I still don't rate him. If he wins a British title against someone useful he'd have passed by expectations. Him against Kelly will be remarkably one-sided and I suspect that's what is being lined up.

    Skeete would probably school him.
I think they’re waiting on the Kelly match up. Can’t see him having any major risky fights until then. Especially after the Peynaud scare.

If i remember rightly, he only moved up from 140-147, because Ohara Davies was moving up from 135-140....I was surprised he moved up then as he didn't look like a particularly big 140lber either, can't believe he's still at 147.

In terms of his performance, based on the fact that I thought he was going to get stopped in the 1st after almost every punch seemed to effect him, i think it was a good performance. Granted, Koivula hasn't faced a murderers row of fighters, but it was impressive that Benn stopped him like that, and while he was being dragged into a dirty fight, he seemed to revel in it. Limitations are obvious, not going to be a world beater but is going to be an entertainer so i can't knock him too much, just hope people see the limitations and just enjoy him, and not hype him to hugh heavens a la Eubank Jr, just to watch him fall.

I'd like to see him in with Maxim Prodan next. Prodan is tough and recently won via an SD against Tony Dixon in a very close fight, I think this would be a good test and step up for Conor. I won't hold my breath.

I just can't take him seriously. It's like he is playing at boxing. Getting hyped up as some big talent coming through, coming out to his fathers ring walk music, talking like a ghetto c*ckney when he is a rich boy from Australia.

All his opponents are cherry picked, which is fair enough at this stage in a fighters career, but until he fights someone half decent who isn't specially picked for him to beat, I won't be interested in his career one bit.

    Fraud.

He's got the biggest chip on his shoulder I've ever seen and has the most sour looking face ever to go along with it. His hair is a fckin mess too. Don't rate his boxing either

Let's be honest, he's not unlike his dad in that respect. Nigel was and seemingly still is an angry man.

Whilst I don’t rate Conor much still I don’t hate him and I like seeing the improvements he’s making. He’s getting better but there are still really poor aspects to his game. I mentioned in the RBR on Saturday night that there was a sequence in maybe the third or fourth round where Conor threw four or five weak jabs that missed and did nothing to assert himself and Jamoye immediately threw a left hook which landed. He’s still really raw in that respect but he is definitely a powerful fighter.

I don’t know too much about whether his personality is fraudulent and whether he’s a tit outside the ring but I’m just going by his performances in the ring. Slight improvements every fight and I want him to do well.
