Teenage Benn couldn't punch through wet paper.
Grown man Benn was knocking the F out fairly good chinned Van Heerden and Algieri like they were pure china.

Van Heerden reckoned Spence punches very hard but the volume was what really hurt him, Jaron Ennis has apparently scary power and Benns power was the only thing that ever put him to sleep.

Obviously Van Heerden was very suspicious of the massive improvements of Benn too but said the power was very, very real.

Peds do not affect punching power imo, never have. I know some huge dudes on roids and they can't punch for ****.

Increasing endurance and ensuring the power he has got lasts longer is more likely.

Of course they do, they make you more explosive. Faster and stronger.
Especially if thats what you are training for.

Peds can help you train harder for longer with improved recovery time.

It’s really hard to say how much of it is Benn growing naturally and improving as a fighter and how much improvement has been gained by performance enhancers, which he clearly has benefited a lot from. I think Benn would have always improved and got stronger, just not to this type of power we are seeing in recent fights. Whichever way you look at it, any fight in the past or future that Benn has will always carry a big question mark. Whilst others have and will continue to take PEDs, he has sunk pretty low IMO. Sometimes athletes have been busted for enhancers which would not make that much difference, Benn has clearly been using some that are tipping the scales a lot more in his favour. He is not the only one, but for some reason I am more angry about this than past cheating.

Exactly. PED's help you excel in what ever sport you are training for.

Looks like Conor Trenn is the new IVF world champion of boxing.

At least he can include that title in his legacy.

PEDs are rife in boxing and they will continue to be in a sport as corrupt as boxing without a single overarching governing body.

That some next level b. c. right there. Peds can improve everything, depends how and which you are using, how you train and million factors, but to say they don't improve power is ridiculous.
Strength is the first thing that will hit the roof, and how much you will last during a session, which is a huge thing. Training right way and you will get big power results.

It's always an obvious sign when their power suddenly goes to a different level as though they've gone through adolescence again.
Canelo was the most obvious recent example, maybe the most obvious of all time.

The South African and Algieri were tough fighters, Algieri took big punches from Provod an Pacroid and kept coming, so it was a big clue that something artificial was going on.

But you have to understand that Hearn and Matchroom only stopped the fight for the good of the sport, not because they did anything wrong.
