Well it was the early 80's mate. Lol.

You gotta cut me some slack here.

I'll join you in the wee tipple though.

Just to forget the convo mind.

Cannot believe this is on PPV.

The build up with the dads will be better than the event itself.

I remember the 80's well despite being young and yeah some of the fashion wasn't the best....with you being a little older all is forgiven...I'm still having a little drink regardless....just in case you appear in my nightmares with.........a mullet.

    I'll 3rd that sentiment.

Eubank Vs Thompson was testament to what Snr was willing to do in the end.

Put him in the trenches and he showed his mettle. Total respect.

I'm looking forward to this one but wish they were closer to the same size.

Benn seems like a Fernando Vargas circa 2002 wanna-be.

    I remember it well mate.

    It was Xmas time 1982.

Near to my 21st birthday. I was very drunk on many free offerings and just slipped up - **** happens. The whole pub went deadly silent. You could have heard a penny drop ( well I could anyway, and told you exactly where it was too) when I got the wallet out... And reputedly said " same again guys?"

People just had a stunned look on their face, it took 3O secs or so before they just slowly and silently nodded.....

When thinking about it now I still wince to this day.

You just don't get over some things in life.

It's true CEJ is smug as hell

And he has terrible dress sense and his beard looks ridiculous

Looks like he's glued it on

Watched it and actually agreed with everything Junior said! Didn't expect that.

Everything Jr said here is spot on: he wasn’t playing mind games, he gave an honest and rational breakdown of the fight.

I used to dislike him a lot earlier in his career, but when I took him for what he is, I found I like him a lot more - i.e. not an elite level boxer but a solid contender who boxes more for money and bragging rights than legacy or titles, and I don’t think there’s much wrong with that.

Part of the reason why he’s disliked is because he has swagger and self-belief, and Brits generally dislike any public figure who is genuinely confident in themselves. That’s why Tyson Fury was so hated on before 2018.
