^^I'd also add that Conor got ttired in the 2nd, and with that his bounce which unfortunately for him that allowed Diaz to time him. Conor also made it easy by staying in Diaz's range. The size advantage for Diaz was way too great to just stand in the man's range where he could tee off. He should have danced around like Holm did for most of the match, but that would probably have been too big of a blow to Conor's ego to admit that he can't stand and trade with Diaz.

Good point, I noticed him starting to breathe heavy and lose his composure and discipline for correct stances and positioning, too. He'd have a long way to go if he wanted to be a boxer - he has the raw ability, though.

Well said, it does seem his ego was too big to want to move more. Freddie Roach would help him out a LOT when it comes to striking gameplans.

Well said. Conor's problem is that he started believing his own hype as I said before the fight and moved away from his boxing roots. He started believing that he's some sort of MMA guru revolutionary pioneer and used way too many flashy kicking techniques that had no use in this fight as unlike Mendes Nate Diaz was good at being outside of kicking range. It just tired him out. He basically went full Ronda Rousey in this fight desparately looking for an early finish.

He should spend more time with some real boxing coach instead of that bum Ido "The Pool Noodle Charlatan" Portal.

As Diaz said pre-fight, McGregor had been beating up midgets, once he stopped into the cage with the bigger man, he was toast.

Not even a bigger man, just a man the same size as him, mcgregor was boiling down and beating up much smaller men than him, reminds me ALOT of broner.

I was thinking the same thing. He wasting energy loading up throwing badly telegraphed Mortal Kombat style kicks to the head. He also gassed from missing with so many big left hands delivered as if he didnt want to see Diaz make it past round 1. Also weighing 23 lbs heavier than he was in his last fight wasnt going to help his endurance or speed either.

Whoever is managing and training McGregor should be fired

It was if he had no concept of distance whatsoever. His flaws should be able to be fixed with the right training....hopefully.:patsch

Why are people saying Nate had a size advantage?...they're both natural 155ers.

His in cage weight was about the same as it was for his FW fights. If anything his energy levels should have improved since he didn't have to go through another crazy 30 pound cut. His apparent poor stamina wasn't a problem until now because none of the smaller guys in the lower weight classes could absorb his power and extend him.

This is my take on it as well. I've been watching boxing for about 40 years and MMA for about 10 and honestly I enjoy them both. At the end of the day I just want to see a good fight and as far as I'm concerned I would sooner watch numerous UFC fights over most of Floyd's sparring sessions.

Diaz was throwing weak arm punches, McGregors chin is fine china.

If boxers hit each other with the equivalent of tiny bag gloves, they'd look "china chinned" too.

We know this because boxers actually did wear tiny gloves way back when. Those gloves allowed supermiddles to punch out genuine cruisers and heavies regularly.
