I think UFC is doing this with the purpose of having McGregor lose, McGregor is starting to become a really huge draw and demanding more money, he might also start co-promoting and UFC hates that. They're doing it so his stock will drop.
Yep, the UFC do not want an individual to be bigger than the organisation, Rousey WAS heading that way now Conor IS heading that way. Don't get me wrong, they love building them up, but there is a ceiling which Conor is now reaching.
McGregor is treading a fine line without how big he is getting. It's a great fight. I love RDA aggressiveness. When two fighters are aggressive mentally and physically, I love to see who comes out on top. Both of them are technically aggressive rather than just brawler aggressive. I'm excited for this.
this thread is the story of Conor's career in the UFC everyone writing him off. If the UFC want to kill him so be it. Me and the other 5 millions fans that only watch the UFC because we enjoy mcgregor talking **** and ko'ing people will just go back to boxing I respect him for taking the fight and fighting within 3 months. Good on him and good luck to him. If he's the beast he should be able to stretch 10 pounds and make it count
You do realize Conor has the ability to cut huge weight and still be effective , I would be surprised if in the history of MMA that any other guy who fights at 145 gains as much weight when he comes through the ropes . It was reported Conor weighed 172 on fight night . Fighting at 155 should not be considered any kind of a stretch , in fact it will help him endurance wise .
yeah I should have realised that - of course he savagely cuts to get to 145. His eye's are popping out his head at the weigh-ins! Blows my mind how bad dehydration can make people look.
This is a fantastic match up...and I'm surprised this got made actually because RDA is by far the toughest fight for McGregor. But with that said, picking McGregor by KO2
