Interesting that some fans on here want Benn to fight Ennis or D. Garcia but believe he wouldn't even stand a chance qgainst Avanesyan?

Well which one is it? If he stands no chance against Avanesyan ( I give Benn the slight edge in that potential fight) then surley putting him against lesser opposition than Avanesyan to give Benn experience and build him up to give him the best as possible chance makes sense for Benn management to do so? Also Benns last two opponents have been far better than Avanesyan's last two opponents, yet it's the younger Benn who get criticised not the older Avanesyan.

Also people are criticising Benn for his most notable win beeing beating a past it 37 year old former WC in Algieri. However Avanesyan most notable win is beating a completely shot former WC in Mosley who was coming off losing 3 of his past 4 fights.

As long as Hearn is true to his word and Benn fights one of Avanesyan, Broner, Brook, Hooker, D.Garcia, M. Garcia and Thurman I would be happy with any of those fights.

Agree with that. The interesting thing will be the level of promotion and humility on offer if one of those fights does come off. Benn isn't in Brook's league in terms of success but in terms of domestic 'brand' they're probably about level or even Brook slightl behind. Benn and Hearn would do well to just play it respectful and concentrate on winning, and Hearn isn't going to **** on Brook if he can help it.

A fight in WWE/WWF that they would have called 'passing the torch' although I'm not sure what the role is - top domestic arrogant *****?

I didn't watch last night, but how many times did we hear "nobody has done that to Van Heerden"?
