    IB's RBR disclaimer:

DO NOT ASK FOR LINKS! Do not hint for them. Do not ask "what channel?". Do not make any post that could be interpreted as insinuating a link request, even if it sounds innocent (ie stuff like "Gee, I don't have a way to watch this" or "if only this was televised where I live...")

The folks at ESB do not want to get sued and therefore have adopted a VERY strict policy of zero-tolerance on stream requests to cover their butts.

    Thank you.

PS. My only other request is that, as a matter of courtesy, you refrain from posting spoilers if you are aware of undercard results that most people are going to see televised on delay. Please also don't spoil results from other unrelated events here. Thanks.

Conor will beat this Vargas. Therefore this journeyman is picked here. Not enough good to beat Conor and still cool to see show and his beatup.

Conor most likely soon will be promoted by eddie like Okolie.

Vargas is actually a decent opponent for Benn

Vargas is quite limited but not a chump, if Benn has the goods he should be able to do well, if not he will struggle over 12.

Mixed emotions, in my mind there is no way Hearn sticks Benn in with anybody who has a good chance of winning.

Vargas is 7/1 to win by any method.. So the bookmakers don't believe he has much of a chance.

But, I don't rate Benn, he has avoided domestic rivals, he has avoided big domestic fights, he is now "above domestic level" apparently, which means he has no intention of fighting a McKinson, Jenkins or any of those types.

There is talk of Avanesyan, I'd love to see it but I have my doubts they'll make that any time soon, it's just getting slight bounce of Avanesyan's recent win over Kelly.

Benn is very suspect around the whiskers, Vargas is about the hardest puncher Benn has faced, if Vargas has anything left and has some ambition then he has a shot, a good shot in my humble opinion but the fact they've made this now suggests to me they know something I don't.

Khan avoided some domestic rivals and he didn't have a bad career, sometimes skipping that domestic level brings rewards but Khan had a lot of high level amateur experience, Olympic Silver.

With Benn and his lack of amateur experience I thought it would be a path worth travelling, big/good domestic fights have something about them, there is something a little more personal there and you can find out a lot about a fighter in those early domestic fights.

We will see, it's either going to be a master stroke or something we look back on and wonder why Benn didn't go the traditional route.. British, Commonwealth and European.

Without high and medium level amateur boxing experience, for example is Bolotņiks, sometimes looks that he is learning by doing and he def had learned a lot from sparring vs Usyk and Briedis. Otherwise this looked like converted ammy MT/KB guy and he had traveled aboard to fight. Outcome : not ideally looking pro record and therefore had been considered as underdog in all 3 MTK tournament fights.
Ppl just didn't knew that he does not have amateur boxing fights exp in medium level, not alone high level. Kid learned by doing.

Still not sure how two cards ago Conor Benn was the 5th match down on the Taylor-Prograis undercard and in his last two outings, he's main eventing, all off of a win over Steve Jamoye. Truly, what the ****?

Benn has already reached a level I didn’t think he was capable of reaching based off his first few fights.

He has the potential to be a crossover star because of his personality and strong social media presence. But for that he will need to keep winning and you do feel he is approaching his ceiling....

I think he stops Vargas late. But I think he potentially gets dropped early in this fight and has to come through a crisis to get there.
