Floyd didnt even train for that fight. He could fight with one arm behind his back and still easily win. They realky did a good job selling that fight. Great salesmen.
Nah sorry lol Floyd out the ear muffs on and walked Forward...that's how little he thought of McGregor..and rightly so. Tell you one thing I thought McGregor did well and I'll give him credit for.think it was in round 1...Floyd shot the lead right hand and McGregor evaded n landed the left uppercut as he came in... Although I could be misremembering
Connor's cardio has always been **** I don't think he can shadowbox for 12 rounds much less fight someone for 12 rounds. Floyd knew he would be gassed midway through the fight and he would take over and stop him after that and that's what happened.
Yup. Floyds team themselves said this after the fact. However in the first 4 rounds, Conor clearly surprised Floyd. He boxed well and landed some good shots. But Floyd was Floyd and just took his time and had his fun. Ironically, Conor said after the fact that he was completely thrown off by Floyd fighting in a high guard, he wasn´t expecting that.
Did Floyd ever fight an entire distance against a southpaw using shoulder roll? I think he preferred high guard in the open stance.
If Mayweather could have KO'd him earlier he would have. The idea he went easy on him is ridiculous. Conor definitely surprised him. Mayweather would have prepared too, as the last thing he wanted was to be humiliated. Conor had a good LH and some power and was bigger, so no way Mayweather took it easy. He would have loved nothing more than to KO him cold in round 1 with the world watching and have that highlight 'meme' of some flashy shot playing for years to come. The money was already in the bag, he didn't need to 'carry' the opponent. Couldn't take him out clean and early though. Had to wait for Conor to gas, wear him down and get an attrition TKO. Just excuses being made for the 'greatest ever'.
Why would Floyd not training cause him to lose the early fight then win the later rounds? Wouldn't it be the opposite?
He used both stances vs Manny and Guerrero. But in the early 2000s, Floyd relied more on the high guard vs southpaws. Conor didn´t study hard enough.
LOL, connor was the very definition of being carried in this fight. I've never seen mayweather disrespecting a fighter as much as he disrespected connor. Mayweather used no defence, no head movement, no anything, when he wanted he just walked him down eating everything proving that connor was a living joke with no power, no jaw, no stamina, no anything. It was insulting.
