Fair play for doing the round by round, to many people just moan at IB.

I'm not going to be doing RBR's myself but if someone else wants to thats cool. I guess it's more a comment thread for how the boxers fighting tonight look.

Might score the Conquest vs Ammann fight, not sure the rest of the fights on either Boxnation or Sky are worth scoring.

Gutted for Wood but well done to McDonnell. Wood just lacked experience and survival skills and experience. He can bounce back, Nothing to be ashamed of..

Had to laugh at Jim Watt ''his heads getting rolled back this should be stopped''. Sounds like a very familiar fight that Jim :hey.

    Coming up on Boxnation:

    Mitchell Smith v Mark Evans

8x3 Minute Rounds International Super-Featherweight Contest

Looking forward to this fight, Mitchell is only 21 years old but has that "star" quality about him.

    Thought it was terrible refereeing.

Poor Marcus, utterly and completely affected by the Groves fight, shame as that might be it for him.

    Great performance by Mitchell Smith

Won by 2nd round TKO, a bit of a premature stoppage though for me.

This is the problem in the sport sadly. Ref's have a hard enough job and it's now even harder because ref's are now scared to jump due to backlash and threat of losing job/downgraded etc after such events. Tonight Wood could of got badly hurt and the fact Watt was calling for the stoppage due to head being rolled back says a lot to me. Different fights, different moments get different opinions and desires. A world title fight he'd of wanted it to go on longer but a British title fight not as long. Now are fights being ref'd on level or the fight themselves?. That's what ref's need guidance on IMHO.

Unless it's a IJL Ovil vs Enzo stoppage i can't fault a ref for jumping in if he really feels a fighter is in danger.
