    Updated Consensus Ranking:

Format: Name / # of top 10 rankings / Average rank

For the average ranks, I have assumed a fighter is ranked at #15 if he is not listed in the top 10.

    1) Usyk / 7 / 1.00
    2) Fury / 7 / 2.29
    3) Joshua / 7 / 3.00
    4) Parker / 7 / 4.14
    5) Kabayel / 7 / 6.00 (up from 10)
    6) Dubois / 7 / 6.57 (new entry - up from 11)
    7) Zhang / 6 / 7.14 (down from 6)
    8) Anderson / 7 / 8.14
    9) Hrgovic / 4 / 11.71 (down from 5)
    10) Bakole / 4 / 12.00 (new entry)

    Just missed out:

    11) Joyce / 3 / 12.43

    Exited the rankings:

    Sanchez (previously #7)
    Wilder (previously #9)

McGrain, MrPook, Finkel and 2 others like this.

Everyone agrees with that top seven in some order. The last three you can put any three of 6-7 guys in any order you like.

I personally see no justification for having Fury in the top 4 when he hasn't won an important fight in 2 years, and arguably lost two in a row, but anywhere 5-7 is good with me.

Based on quality of recent wins (last 3 years):

    1. Usyk
    2. Parker
    3. Joshua
    4. Fury
    5. Zhang
    6. Dubois
    7. Kabayel
    8. Hrgovic
    9. Anderson
    10. Bakole

My hope is for Jalolov to grow up and step up in competition, Itauma to slowly step up, and Opetia to have a few warm fights at heavy and move up. If Jalolov, Itauma and Opetia enter the top 10, it will be a strong division. Plus Torrez Jr., Pero brothers, etc.

Updated Consensus Ranking. Note: I have replaced Sport-ratings with Rummy’s Corner due to the former only updating monthly and Rummy being up to date yesterday.

Seeing Michael Hunter in a top 10 list in 2024 is pretty surreal

Good list apart from Hunter. He hasn't beaten a top 50 fighter for 5 years.

That's not the way things work. Hunter getting in based on Bakoles win last week because he beat him 6 years ago despite looking terrible for several years now is absurd.

Hopefully Hunter makes the most of his renewed status, rather than letting 6 months or a year pass by (again).

It's dumb. Bakole scoring an impressive win doesn't mean Hunter scored an impressive win.

Hunter lost in April. People are just choosing to ignore it.

Hunter fans trying to make him relevant even if he can't do it himself.

Should Parker and Kabayal leap over Joshua now because they scored wins over Chisora, who just had a big victory?

If Hunter gets a bump, why shouldn't they?

Hunter shouldnt be ranked until he beats a good opponent. We are close to half way through this decade and Hunter hasn't done anything in it. The best thing I can say about him is he's fought twice this year and his best win in the 2020s is Cassius Chaney.

    He shouldn't be, I agree.

He actually fought three times, losing one.

Lost to this guy in April. (They can call it whatever they like, but it was a real fight with three judges, nobody was holding back and he lost the decision.)

And one of the wins was against this guy ...

Anyone who lists Michael Hunter among today's top 10 heavyweights has an agenda. Clearly. Nobody else on that list is leaping one spot because Chisora won and they have a victory over him.

How many spots did Hunter leap ... 10 or more after Bakole won?

Hunters situation reminds me slightly of Ray Mercer. Mercer got a close but decent win over Tim Witherspoon in 1996. From that point in 1996 until 2002 when he fought Klitchsko he fought sporadically beating no hopers. I don't recall anyone having Mercer in their top ten at the time when he was beaten by Wlad.

Kabayel shouldn't be ranked above Dubios, beating a prospect shouldn't get Bakole #8 and Hunter doesn't belong on the list at all.

    Am I misunderstanding something?

Homie simply keeps up with and does math on the ratings others posts, no?

As in OP doesn't choose where anyone goes, he just averages out their ratings across boards and rates them by where the numbers fall, right?

So why TF so many jabroni telling him who deserves what?

Which one of us the dumb ass? If I'm the dumbass cool, just let me know.
