Considering Dawson vs Calzaghe logically

british fans don't like to see competitive fights there. They don't have much to be proud of so they want to keep Joe mr. number 1 light heavy away from the other num 1 light heavy in Chad.... Two unclear number 1s is not appealing to the british.

 

Wait, I thought 'almost every boxing expert' had Dawson as number one (still waiting for some names, btw. You don't have to name all of these experts, just give me a selection).

 

No way this fight happens

 

To say Dawson dosen't deserve a shot at Calzaghe is pure and utter nonsense. At this stage of their careers, it would go down as one of Calzaghe's top 3 wins. I'd love to see this fight, but of Joe does retire, so be it. I'd imagine if it does happen, Dawson will have to travel. Will he though?

 

I'm well past that. Many Brits hang on to it, because they only have two fighters to cheer for. David Haye will get his ass knocked out soon enough, that's for sure. Calzaghe is about to retire.

 

Dawson is nothing, and Joe isn't 26 years old anymore. Which may be why Dawson wants his shot now. Dawson is a chump, and when he falls, he is going to fall like a ton of bricks.

Dawson's "old man tour" means sh*t. Fighters like Dawson -- or, to be more exact, the promoters and fans who sell and buy the fraud -- disgust me.

Tarver - Joke. That was embarrassing how shot he was.

Harding - Done. Last fight of career when Chad fought him. Still dropped Chad.

Johnson - 39 years old. Many feel he won the fight against Chad. Repeatedly hurt Chad.

Adamek - 25 pounds heavier in his next fight post-Dawson, last fight at LHW. Weight drained. Still dropped the glass-jawed one.

Dawson is a pretender, and he doesn't deserve a shot. But I still hope Joe gives him one so he can hand the glass-mandibled fraud his ass in the ring.

 

Guys, there's no chance of this fight being made. If Calzaghe chooses to fight on after beating Roy Jones, I think there is now a mandate to give Bernard Hopkins a rematch.

Dawson should try to fight the other title holders, preferably Diaconu or possibly fighting Mikkel Kessler...or the winner of the Bute/Andrade fight.

 

Jesusf ucking christ. What is a fighter supposed to do? Do you think boxers wake up one day and are just at their peak? Or do you believe they actually have to learn the ropes a little bit? All of those fights were HUGE learning curves for Dawson. Fights that Calzaghe wasn't taking at a similar stage in his career.

 

That's my feeling about this fight.

 

It's clear this guy is a Dawson hater. There's no point of even responing to his idiocy. Just let him drown himself in his own ignorance.

You just as easily say who has Joe fought to warrant a fight with Dawson if you want to use that logic.

The truth is Joe should be trying to fight Dawson and vice versa...
