I disagree. Kessler may not be as fast as Calzaghe (who is really?) but he's a hell of a lot faster than slow poke Adamek. As Adamek proved, all it takes is 1 good punch to rattle Chad's cage. I think Kessler has the right combination of speed, power, and sound fundamentals to KO Dawson. I actually think Dawson is too small for 175. But the divsion is in a transitional period to where he is able to succeed. An interesting match-up I think that no one is talking about would be Dawson vs RJJ.

It was a straight right hand. Dawson was dominating the fight as well as that round when Adamek landed a straight right and put him down. It was the same punch that put Calzaghe down in the first round of his fight with Hopkns. Considering they both fight out of the Southpaw stance, I doubt either one of them will be landing straight rights.

It proves that Dawson has a glass jaw to almost lose a fight he had been thoroughly dominating based on 1 good punch. Who cares if it was a straight right or a left hook and what does BHop's flash knock down of Calzaghe have to do with it? That was in the 1st round and Joe got right back up and went on to dominate the rest of the fight. Dawson, on the other hand, looked like he had just been hit by a truck and barely survived the rest of the fight by running for his life.

point blank period....he's supposed to be the "Ring" LHW Champion

but Chads the one with the actual belts......so to prove who the REAL LHW champion is it only makes since for them to fight, does it not?....

Dawson wouldn't have a hope in hell. He scraped past an ancient Johnson so how the hell is he going to overcome the workrate of Calzaghe? This is just another sad example of American fans and writers failing to acknowledge Calzaghe's dominance. Even if he were to fight Dawson you can almost here the excuses that would be put forward alreay. It would be another Lacy esque beatdown followed by the inevitable "Dawson was so overrated" threads.
