I think Sergio gets paid off or jobbed then Cotto fights Quillin to unify the WBC & WBO MW titles then Floyd fights Quillin @ 156-7 c/w, beats him and becomes the MW WBC & WBO MW champion sealing his legacy. Or he could just fight Cotto for the WBC MW strap @ 156 c/w of course.

Of course Martinez could be really shot and get his ass whooped by Cotto but at least he'll get a good payday. Then he could go in Germany and fight Sturm for another good payday.

I don't think this theory is reliable for a simple fact: Martinez would never ever accept to lose for money.
Not on this planet, he's not that kind of fighter.
If he'll loose, it'll be for being really shot.
But until then, Cotto is just receiving a payday for taking a beating.
    Or he's just really overconfident.

Not sure Floyd beats Quillin either not at 160. Too much power differential. After about 3 rounds of taking punches on the arms and shoulder from a top power MW he wouldnt be able to move his arms very well anymore.

Heck, he complained about his arm after Canelo fight.

People talk about Floyd having handled "power" in the past. But theres a big different between 140-147 "power" and 160 power.

Fighting Quillin is a risky fight Floyd wouldnt do it, even though hes not that good technically he has legit power and always puts his opponent down

I think he would stop Floyd

I won't mind seeing PBF vs Quillin @ 160 lbs or c/w. Both are GBP/SHO fighters. :yep

Exactly! Sergio didn't go through all that trouble with the WBC stripping him and having to work his way up the ladder the right way just to lie down for Cotto. He'll come to fight. What fight he has left, we'll find out in June!

The weight difference here is probably not any more than Martinez gave away against Pavlik and Chavez.

    Imagine Cotto vs Pavlik.
