It's been 4 months, and my night vision has steadily improved. It's true that you get starbursts (blurry vision when looking at light at night) post surgery. It's a typical short term side effect, but very minor.
p4p do you box? some guys at my gym said lasik is no good for boxers and we should get PRP or something one guy got the PRP and says it hurts more when he gets punched in the eye and sometimes he has other problems with it like the eyes stinging, drying out etc. he also said that it was very painful after he got the PRP done and he had to sleep for 48 h as he couldnt open his eyes.
I do box - have been qworking out at a local gym for 3 years. I'm no expert on eye surgery, but I think PRK is a different kind of surgery than LASIK and is used to treat different symptoms. My recivery from LASIK was one day, and the only difficult thing was keeping sweat outta my eyes during training for the first few weeks. Also couldn't spar for the first two weeks while your cornea is fusing back on your eye. Like I said, it's still the best decision I ever made.
Im retty sure lasik is banned from competition. Here's a quote regarding the difference between Lasik and PRK:
I can imagine, it's basically recovering cornea damage. Had a torn cornea a few weeks ago myself, hurt like ****ing hell. I literally felt like screaming the first two days.
