You mean the same Floyd Mayweather that has declined in his 30's athletically?

Floyd wins because of his I.Q. and boxing technical ability.

Give me Floyd from 130-140 any day as far as athleticism.

I think knowing himself that he has declined over the years has started the b.s. PED issue with Pac.
"Maybe," according to his thinking (and I"m guessing) would be the question: Why has he {Floyd} declined over the years but not Pac.
He has said he has watched his old fights on ESPN classics and remembers those days. Fast forward until now, he knows what he is at this point in time and its not that same fighter athletically.

As far as "long breaks" can be down to two things: Not loving the sport anymore and using it solely for money...and of course healing from injuries which the rest period has enabled his hands to heal for fights.

Pac has declined aswell. His legs and punches are visibly slower than they used to be.

Pac was trying to negotiate testing done by Professional Testers. Let them do their job. I'm not positive, but I don't think Olympians are negotiating the testing system. Floyd's original offer was to test all the way through because that's what the Testers do. Pac didn't want that. He wanted guarantees that they would not take blood close to the fight. He felt one way, Floyd felt another. But in the end, you let the testers do their job. Athletes shouldn't be negotiation on how it is run. You either do it or you don't.

I don't want to hear about what Pac agreed to until he actually TAKES THE TEST on his own.

Until he does that, he is all talk.

You don't need Floyd to take the tests for your Fight. Look at all the others that don't need Floyd to take the test.

If he does that, like he could have done for this fight, he could shut Floyd up and all the other doubters.

I really can't understand why he doesn't do this. If I were claiming to be a "Clean" Athlete, I would not only do this but I would take it a step further and do Year Round Random testing and shove it in Floyd's face and all the other doubters.

Steroid testing in boxing is much bigger than Floyd/Pac. What is on the line here is the health of the fighters (yes, dudes could die) as well as the credibility of the sport (what little boxing still has).

They might do things differently in Pacland.

But correct: Floyd said it was a one time deal. People seem to forget that little tidbit. He gave a deadline, they missed it...and he said it was off the table and that they he is going back to his original deal which was letting the testers do their job. Same deal that he follows and his opponents follow.

Floyd was wrong to even try to negotiate such terms. Just let the Testers do their job. But I think Floyd was feeling the pressure to get this fight made and just got sick of the b.s.

Specifically talking about the years Pac was moving up and lighting people up. Talking about the years where Floyd and Pac were supposed to Man-Up and fight each other.

He was still looking fast as lightning against Oscar (which was at WW) and at a weight that Floyd stopped looking phenomenal as far as athletic ability. And it was still all there for Cotto which is one of the last fights Ariza points to as being Pac at his absolute best because he followed exactly what he was told in training.

Once its on the table that you want it, you do it from now on. He knew that it wasn't a one time deal as far as testing fighters. That's why he brought up this "I'm hear to clean up the sport."

And by Floyd doing the tests, and other fighters following, and Pac not doing it, it only makes Pac look bad.

No doubt Pac looked a machine back then, that was him at his best. Hes visibly declined since then however.

Athletically Floyd and Pac are still top notch however, they've declined but are still brilliant athletes.
