Conteh vs Kovalev ??

I have Conteh close over 12 7-5 type and wider 9-6 over 15. Decent fight but I am a pretty big Conteh appreciator as well

 

Kovalev is far more skilled than Saad was, this would be a battle of the jabs, both have/had brilliant jabs, but Conteh was easier to hit as Saad proved and Kov`s active guard would be something Conteh had never come across in the 70`s.

Saad seemed clumsy to me, very basic v Conteh, I feel it was his workrate that got Conteh who didn`t counter him enough, Saad was known as a face first come from behind puncher, he was more careful v Conteh but nothing a skilled fighter like Kov couldn`t figure out.

Kovalev isnt far more skilled than Saad. He also isnt half as durable nor does he he have anything resembling Saads heart...How in the hell is Conteh easier to hit than Kovalev? What are you watching???

Conteh`s lead hand was amazing but he got caught too much by Saad and Kov has a more active guard.

 

Don’t get your panties in a bunch. Your takes have less credibility than many that are offered in satire. It’s just not worth arguing about it with you. You do make some decent observations from time to time but it’s not really worth it to me to wade through 50 bad evaluations to find the one good one....but good luck either way

 

No ones denying Kovalev was skillful and could punch . But he lacked the ability to handle adversity and digging deep when he couldn't dictate the fight to his liking. Saad was the master at handling adversity and would come from behind to ko Kovalev big time late.

 

I agree with this. But I do think if Saad fought him today rather than in Saad’s day that Kovalev would hold his own and that the cards might be pretty close.
