I am planning on watching all of the episodes this week and was wondering if people who watched it found them entertaining? I watched th whole of episode 3 and only got bored at the end. Would you say it was better than 3 or worse? Thanks
The 168lb Contender was the best (in terms of both entertainment and caliber of fighter). The Cruiserweights had little chemistry, plus they went back to the annoying edited fights with musical scoring. It was pretty boring both in and out of the ring. Hino and Ross put on good fights throughout, but everything else...bleh.
That show has a ton of potential, but the producers fail to understand that the vast majority of those who tune in want boxing, not a damn soap opera.
Season 3 was pretty cool. I believe that was the one where they minimized the "getting to know you" **** and accentuated the fights (and without the jump-cut editing and melodramatic soundtrack). Then when it switched to VS they were like "Nahhh...those first two seasons had the right formula". Maybe more appealing to soccer moms, who apparently are the more important demographic for a boxing reality show than actual fight fans. :conf
