    Holmes v Norton

Historical fights I knew the result of:

I think they have not linked youtube properly.

This to me is the standard:

    [YT]JUOoSLW7TS4[/YT]

Beat that, and you probably have the winner.

Bazooka Limon - Bobby Chacon IV. In a to-and-fro war, Chacon scores a knockdown in the dying seconds of the fight.
Without that knockdown, he loses a decision but instead he wins-that is how close things were. Amazing fight.

    Some great picks McVey.

It was a BS decision, but the first Nelson-Fenech fight was a war.

They could have held that in a phone box. Great fight.

'Greatest' or Best? Louis-Schmeling, Ali-Foreman and the Benn-Eubank fights were great for the importance on the sport, but the best fight ever was Hagler-Hearns.

    Obviously Robinson-Jake St.V.Day, Benn-McClellan, Watson-Eubank II, Thompson-Eubank I and the Bowe-Holyfield and Gatti-Ward fights are up there, too.

    It's hard to top Limon-Chacon IV. Pryor-Arguello I and Gatti-Ward I are close contenders.

I made a distinction between fights I viewed retrospectively and those I saw live/without knowing the result.
Obviously knowing the outcome considerably lessens the excitement and drama. The Fenech v Nelson fight is a worthy addition, and the Bowe v Holy fights:good

Benn v McClellan too, I confidently picked McClellan , how wrong was I?

I looked for fights that had ebbs and flows in them.
I'm sure the Dempsey v Willard fight and the second Louis v Schmeling fight, were awesome spectacles historically speaking , but they were also one side blow outs and not competitive.

haven't seen some of those fights, I don't know why the video wouldn't come up, tried everything but no go. The fight I was trying to show was Basilio v DeMarco II one of the great fights

Its a classic but very short fight, to me the standard is Nelson vs Wolgast, hours of toe to toe action at an incredible pace for 40 rounds
