Rubbish fight to be honest. Diaz is very respectable but he's ****ing ancient, Khan should be facing a higher calibre of opponent if he wants to keep banging on about how great he is. Loads of decent boxers have meant to have refused to fight him but that's likely to do with the weight he and Golden Boy wanted. Either just fight at 140 or just move up to 147 permanently. Quit ****ing about with all these catch-weights, you won't get any decent fights that way. If it really is in Sheffield then that's a very bold move and to be honest, it a bit a of stupid one IMO. Sheffield is Brook's and Matchroom's town, Khan (Brook's main rival) is going to be a hard sell there, especially in a crappish fight like this. Should have gone to Manchester or the 02. They'll likely still sell it out but what sort of reaction will Khan get? How stupid will he and Golden Boy look if he's booed in his home country on their first show over here? Let's wait and see how it goes.
No need for the racist comments. nono I'm from Sheffield and my pals who are of ****stani origin would love to see him get sparked by Kell. Quite a lot came from Bradford to support Junior Witter and are now Kell fans.
Diaz: "We are waiting for official confirmation from the Khan camp but as of now they have my contract which I have signed. We have reached an agreement on a deal and everything is secure. " "There are a lot weaknesses. He can't take a punch and when he gets overwhelmed he tends to panic too much. "I aim to make it a brawl. I won't be too technical or too pretty but it will be a real fight." "Of course I would have preferred 147 but I am not in a position to force it because I wanted the opportunity to fight Khan. "My last fight was at 146 so it's another three pounds only. "I have been knocking on doors a long time and Khan is the fighter letting me in. He said he wants to fight in the UK, whereever the man is I am ready to go with it." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter (Yes, it's the Sun and they're a bunch of wankers but only source...also confirms it's at the Sheffield Motorpoint)
I actually don't know ishy. I was under the impression that sky and Khan's deal had ended and that sky would decide whether to show his fights depending on the quality of opponent.
A **** fight. But it's obvious they're keeping him out of harm's way until he steps back in with Garcia. Which is sensible. As long as that happens at the end of the year, then I don't mind him taking another soft touch. After the **** he's been through, he's earned it.
