Contrary to certain beliefs, Deontay Wilder has one of the best chins in HW boxing.

I agree.. Stiverne, the same guy that knocked out Arreola and made him do the chicken dance.. the same Arreola who ate Vitali Klitschko's best punches for breakfast and never went down after 10 rounds..

Stiverne hit Wilder with some monster punches and he only wobbled once.. Wilder indeed does have one of the best chins in boxing.

You've clearly not seen my comments on other threads post Wilder's win. I've given him a lot of credit.

Now don't get excited and claim he's some iron chinned terminator because he didn't get KTFO out against the first live body he went in with.

He's got a better chin than the chin-checker "he gets knocked out first time he gets hit by a top 50 heavyweight" crowd put their entire credibility on the line to maintain.

He's got more skill than given credit for. He's obviously got go-the-distance stamina too.

Will he get knocked out at some point? Most heavyweights do. It's easy to say "this guy has no chin, you just watch and you'll see I'm right when he gets knocked out one day" ... knowing the odds are with you and probably 90 percent or more of all heavyweights (and most boxers period) sooner or later get KTFO.

But many people who DKSAB have been on this forum for years proclaiming that he was a fraud and would never beat anyone who is ranked anywhere near as high as Stiverne. And they were wrong.

Little bit of wisdom for you: just because someone hasn't ever done something before doesn't mean they cannot do it. At some point -- actually continually throughout life -- every boxer and every human being is put in a situation where he (or she) is faced with doing something they have never done (i.e. going the distance, taking a punch). Many of them, despite the fact that they hadn't done it before, actually manage to do it.

For instance, probably one or two chin-checkers on this forum (probably not Zak or Rico, but hope springs eternal) will admit they were wrong. Just because they've never done it before doesn't make me doubt that they have the ability to do it.

He proved me wrong, I thought Stiverne would smash him. He boxed well, reminded me of Fury against Chisora actually.

Not going to humour the OP because it's an absurd statement.

I take my hat off to Wilder though, he did very well.

Im not yet a Deontay fan, but you gotta give him credit. I picked him to win expecting to look like an idiot but he showed he's a legit contender.

Wilder fought smart but I don't think Stiverne landed a single power shot on him, except a left hook early. Later on Stiverne was gassed or throwing arm punches.
