Boy gang-raped by 10 women at knifepoint in Papua New Guinea

17-year-old boy raped by 10 women in PNG
Police fear boy may have been infected with HIV/AIDS
PNG has one world's highest rates of sexual violence

A 17-year-old village boy has been gang raped by 10 knife-wielding women in Papua New Guinea, police say.

Southern Highlands Province police commander Teddy Tei said the gang of women attacked the schoolboy just outside the provincial centre of Mendi on Friday.

"This is a serious matter and police are trying to identify who these animals are," he said.

"More than 10 women with kitchen knives attacked him and four women had sexual intercourse with him".

The boy went to hospital for treatment, he said.

Police commander Tei said he feared the women may have infected the young man with HIV/AIDs.

"HIV/AIDs is a problem in PNG and I am concerned the women might be infected.

"I always warn the women to be careful at night but I am now warning the men too.

"Police are investigating but it is not clear why the attack happened," he said.

Last week a young Australian woman on a surfing trip was raped in Madang province on PNG's northwestern coast.

The woman was with three other Australians who were carjacked, robbed of all their possessions and taken to a secluded spot where they were bound to trees.

An August 2008 UNICEF report stated that PNG has one of the world's highest rates of sexual violence.

"Police say that eight per cent of women have been raped, but **** is an under-reported crime, so the reality is certainly much higher," the report said.

"Nearly half of reported **** victims are under age 15, and 13 per cent are younger than age seven."

You can miss a week whilst still on holidays and the Choc saga is like a US soapie - you haven't really missed anything at all.

Wait to our esteemed resident Mundine hard-hitters Biajoli & Ash weigh-in on this mega issue! Even Teke's poo pooed it.

    ...yawn.

...I'll have another look how the soapy's 'progressing' next week.

    Good on Ya Choc,

About October or November every year, out you trot with the same tired old lines about stepping up and " bugger me days" there is still one or two half wits out there that still can"t see through you!

You wont go to fight in the USA

You wont step up your level of opposition.

You wont be getting into a ring with Mayweather, Pacman, Cotto or any other recognised champion.

You wont be contacting Angelo Dundee.

The impact you have on the world boxing scene in the next 12 months will in fact be sweet FA.

What you WILL do however, is continue on with the same dribble that the majority of the aus boxing public have come to expect and about a year from now we'll hear it all again. No need to rehearse Choc, you should have the speech down pat by now, you've used it often enough!

You and you're mate "***an" have really taken this Barnhum and Bailey approach to heart. But keep it up boys, there maybe one or two out there
that still refuse to open their eyes.

In fact I was talking to a bloke in the pub the other night that reckons
    that you're fair dinkum.

Then he finished his beer, hopped into his Leyland P76 and drove off home.

He says this every year. I'm beginning to suspect that he has a generic media release template and just inserts two new fighter names and updates it for the following year.

    I'm onto you choc.

maybe with headclashes, and his wrestling tackles yer he
might cause him problems.as far as boxing is concerned it was a mismatch at 168 now Mundine has changed the limit to 160 because he pioneered his way down from Kessler,Geale and Golovkin Garth has no chance.but he will pick up 250k and maybe an incentive or bonus payment from Mundine for the weight change.hopefully seems like a nice guy from the Contender.
