    Just watched Griffin Vs Rampage.

For me the following are clear rounds

    1: Rampage
    2: Griffin
    3: Griffin
    4: Rampage

5 was a swing round for me so I can see Rampage winning 3-2, that being said round 2 could easily be 10-8.

I think any score from 48-46 Griffin right through to 48-47 Rampage are acceptable scores.

For me personally, the right man won.

Rampage fought an awful strategy in this fight, for one he has over trained his boxing and neglected his grappling game (something I think he did throughout his prime tbh) he clearly took too much from the Jardine fight and thought he could walk right through Griffin. Beyond that his leg defence is the worst I've seen since an early UFC tournament were I think Hackney dominated someone with leg kicks till they submitted. He literally just took them flush every time, no defence with his knee and no trying to grab and take down. Yes he has immense one punch power, maybe the most in LHW history but you can't wait 5 rounds to land that one punch.

Is this fight controversial, well history says it is, but for me whilst I think it's justified giving the fight to Rampage I feel it's more justified giving it to Griffin.

Matt Hamill vs Michael Bisping @ UFC 75

    Jeff Mullen 29-28 Bisping
    Cecil Peoples 29-28 Bisping
    Chris Watts 30-27 Hamill

Round 1- Very good showing for Hamil has be beats, bloodies and rocks Bisping on the feet and scores 2 takedowns 10-9 Hamill

Round 2- Both have their moment on the feet landing some good shots, Hamill gets the round on the strength of his 2 takedowns 20-18 Hamill

Round 3- Best start to a round for Bisping as he lands some punches early and manages to stuff a couple takedowns. Couple successful takedown for Hammil. Decent strikes landed by both men on the feet, Bisping stuffs takedown and lands a punch. 30-27 Hamill, an argument can be made for Bisping as it was his best round

It 30-27 for Hamill for me, at best arguably 29-28 if you want to give Bisping the last round. Very poor decision that was booed even by Bisping's hometown crowd.

This is one I'm planning on revisiting soon. Along with Franklin/Henderson.

Think I'm going to run through the sea of BS Diego Sanchez decisions.

    Part I - Diego's gift basket

Takanori Gomi vs. Diego Sanchez - 3 rounds at Lightweight

Rd 1 - 10-9 Gomi - landed the cleaner and harder shots throughout the round, was able to scramble back to his feet whenever Sanchez took him down.

Rd 2 - 10-9 Sanchez close. Gomi started out well jabbing and outboxing Sanchez but faded during the 2nd half of the round in which Sanchez landed a lot of clean kicks to the body.

Rd 3 - 10-9 Gomi - Not a whole lot in it but Gomi was moving forward, landed the cleaner strikes and stuffed all of Sanchez's takedowns.

    29-28 Gomi.

This one still pisses me off. Gomi had been on the best streak of his UFC career, and a win over Sanchez would have almost certainly landed him one more shot at the big time. To add insult to injury to injury, this took place in Gomi's home stadium - The Saitama Super arena. Just a BS decision. One of many in Sanchez's career.

Hamill / Bisping was one of the most blatant robberies that I ever saw. Truly embarrassing stuff. Hamill basically beat the s**t out of Bisping, took him down at will and made it clear that he was the better fighter.

The only possible way I can see the judges scoring it for Bisping is because Bisping looks the part, light on his feet and flashy, whereas Hamill looks kind of clumsy and ponderous. Didn't stop Hamill from beating the crap out of Bisping though.

Part II - Diego's gift basket

Ross Pearson vs. Diego Sanchez - 3 rounds at Lightweight

Rd 1 - 10-9 Pearson. Outstruck Sanchez and stopped his takedowns. Clear round.

Rd 2 - 10-9 Pearson. Once again completely outstrikes Sanchez and topped off a great round with a knockdown in the last minute. another clear round

Rd 3 - 10-9 Pearson. Same story.. Landed the far cleaner shots throughout the round.

Clear 30-27 for Pearson. Truly a disgusting decision.. One of the worst in the history of the UFC if not all of MMA history. There's no way Sanchez won a round let alone the fight. I guess coming forward while being consistently outstruck warrants winning a fight to these judges? Unreal. Sure worked for him and Leonard Garcia!

    http://mmadecisions.com/decision/5249/Diego-Sanchez-vs-Ross-Pearson

Un-****ing-real... Jeff Collins gave Sanchez every round including 2 where he was dropped. That's criminal. Out of the 3 judges only Marcos Rosales has a pair of eyes... Media scores were almost a consensus 30-27 Pearson across the board. What a ****ing joke. This should have been appealed and reversed.

Good article that highlights the absurdity of this decision.

Muhammad Lawal vs Gegard Mousasi @ Strikeforce: Nashville

    Richard Betrand 49-45 Lawal
    Sal D’Amato 49-45 Lawal
    Anthony Maness 49-45 Lawal

Round 1 Mo takes him down and controls him for much of the round

    10-9 King Mo

Round 2 Takedown. Mousasi landing effective strikes off of back his back, he takes Mo's back towards end of round.

    19-19

Round 3 Mousasi beating him up on feet, Mo is on wobbly legs, good striking rally by King mo. Takes him down. Mousasi ties up limit Mo’s offence, lands good uptick and punches. Mo landing good gnp in the last minute.

Hard round to score but I gave it to Mousasi,

    29-28 Mousasi

Round 4 Mousasi outstriking, good lead right hand by Mo and gets a takedown, inconsistent work my Mo on top, huge upkick by Mousasi. Ref stands them up for lack of action. Decent punching exchange. Hard round to score, I gave it to Mo.

    38-38

Round 5 Mo takes him down, again. Good upkicks by Mousasi off his back. Mousasi is deducted a point for an illegal upkick. As action resumes Mousasi is landing many hard hammerfists and hooks off his back. Mousasi takes advantage of a lapse in concentration and gets to his feet and lands some punches. Mo gets his back and transitions to a double leg td. Ref stands them up for lack of action. Another TD. Tough round to score because Mousasi did more damage but Mo had far more positional dominance, I give it to Mo.

    48-46 King Mo

The fight could’ve gone either way even with the point deduction in the last round (which was complete BS) as the first 2 rounds were the only clear rounds to score.

That's one I've been planning on revisiting for a long time. Haven't seen it since it happened live. It's the closest the modern era has had to Randleman/Rutten. Mousasi was really busy from his back and Mo's face reflected that after the fight lol.

I remember the Kampmann fight being bad decision, Diego looked like elephant man after that one.

The Rutten/Randleman fight was one of the worst robberies in the history of sport and a complete travesty imo, it's a complete myth that Bas landed the more effective strikes off his back. This fight actually could've legitimately been scored for Mousasi.

Not really actually. Mousasi was so active off of his back that there wasn't much need to stand them up. The times when there was a lull in action, McCarthy stood them up.
