Here are ten that were all reasonably entertaining fights and all of which ended controversially: Lewis-Holyfield 1 Delahoya-Trinidad Delahoya-Mosley 2 Delahoya- Sturm Hopkins-Taylor 1 Hopkins-Taylor 2 Pac-JMM 1 Pac-JMM 2 Forbes-Hopkins Dawson - Johnson
Forgot about this one. Everyone remembers the decision, but no one seems to remember that it was a pretty entertaining fights. Lots of trading in the pocket.
I remember alot of flurries by Oscar that didn't land clean and I remember alot of jabs that marked up De La Hoya's face. It's been a while since I've seen this fight but I don't recall much else other than that. Oscar would appreciate the "lots of trading in the pocket" statement cuz it would imply that the fight was more competitive than it was and that he actually has a case for the victory. He lost that night. I watched it in a bar and the same people that clapped during DLH's intro were completely silent when the decision was read. I'm willing to bet that most of those people weren't even boxing fans so that should say something.
I included it because I had included his Tito and Mosley fights that I thought he won. You could also make a case for a loss to Quartey ane even a (weak) case re Whittaker. You win some and you lose some !
Most of those DLH controversial fights weren't very entertaining though. The Sturm fight was pretty good, the Quartey one was dull except for two rounds, Whitaker fight was dull, Mosley 2 and Trinidad fights were okay at best.
